you should try out the harimraj in anbennar, its like mandate where u have to "play tall" but also like daimyo system where all your vassals try to take you out, you also have to balance various mechanics to get out of a disaster at game start, and the command is a nice end-game boss.

Laith, if you take Diplo Annexation cost after starting, it retroactively applies. So yes, you did just waste time. As long as you took the extra -25% while being more than that away, you wouldnt have wasted any diplo.

Isn't the diplo-annex cost retroactive? As in you could have kept integrating and the cost would have reduced once you took the idea, thereby losing both time and diplo points.
