Ngl (this is not a critique of your video at all, I really enjoyed it) I'm kinda tired of people diagnosing random people/characters with disorders and mental illnesses without there being actual mentions of it in the game/series/move etc. My adhd isn't speculative, it's not something I want people to debate over and analyze to confirm whether I have it or not. It only perpetuates harmful stereotypes most of the time and alienates people.

Of course there are a few exceptions like clear signs of anxiety, trauma and depression, but those are so general that almost everyone experiences some of it. At this point I feel like almost every character really interested in science or who are struggling with eye-contact are being labelled as autistic and that every character who speak a lot, are hyperactive and are a bit socially unaware apparently probably have adhd.

It might seem like harmless speculation and lighthearted theories but in the end it will have an effect on those who experience these things, I'm a medicated person with adhd, I still show symptoms but to a lesser degree. I can't sleep without taking a pill that's anti-psychotic of all things(I don't experience psychosis), I take 5 other pills, not just ritalin or adderal like so many people just assume. I almost always tell people that I'm going to spend time with that I have adhd to clear things up a bit or to ensure I can get the help I need.

It's okay to assume some things, but when trying to actively search for representation in media we usually just end up with these half-assed overly analyzed pieces of representation. I don't think it's fair to applaud a company or piece of media for 'representing minorities/disabled people' if they don't make it clear that they actually do. That's why adhd and autism are so hard to represent without actually mentioning it because of how much it varies from person to person.

It's super complicated and to me, just assigning these roles/labels onto people/characters does not do the real people who actually struggle with these things justice.

It's quite fun to see these now as even the wackiest theories get progressivly confirmed. Genshin does one thing only FromSoft does as well, and that's leaving clues for it's playerbase to piece together it's world's past, making it feel that much more alive.

The notion that mondstadt = germany annoys me so much. Just because the name is in german doesn't mean it's ONLY germany. According to what we know there's reason to believe the only regions based on one country alone are Liyue and Inazuma. For obvious reasons bcs hoyoverse is chinese and full of weebs. Mondstadt would be northern europe not germany. fontaine wont be france itll probably include spain and italy (if italy isnt included in snezhnaya) and southwest europe, snezhnaya should include countries like romania etc. Like you can't tell me everything is a country and then there's 'middle east' and 'africa'. sumeru shows us that the regions definitely don't have ONE country but more like a region or collection of regions from the real world that mix into an in-game region. It's a bit harder for mondstadt but you can definitely see cultural references for countries other than germany in it. It's just stupid to assume the language the name came from is immediately the only country the region is based off of. like obviously the name has to come from somewhere. doesn't mean that somewhere is the ONLY country its based off of. (btw the uk confuses me, would it be mondstadt or fontaine??) (btw theyd never use english for the name of a region can you imagine if a region was called fountain? well the french can)

the archons are false gods thing comes from the close links between the religion gnosism and the game. In gnosism there are several layers of gods, and in this theory the archons are created by the one false god who created existence against the true gods will.
