the red boxes are probably undeleted "walls" that nobody bothered to delete but they were not being used so they just werent textured or something :/

EDIT: I have another idea to why it might be there, mabye its so they can get that red color of the light in a way

I'm a character artist, but took a realtime fx class on Niagara in Unreal Engine 5 this year, they forgot to turn turn Sprite facing to custom facing vector and Sprite alignment to custom alignment, that would fix the fire. Eyeballs often have a transparent layer, although in AAA games they usually use a custom shader to save on the second layer.

Red walls? Maybe has to do with certain lighting? Maybe a certain way to trigger certain cutscenes or animations? Idk. They look completely out of place.

I'd love to see a closer look at the first area where you encounter the robots, from the part in the control room at the end.

The ball in the title screen is actually used. If you wait and watch the title screen long enough, you will see the cat playing with the ball.

i think the red boxes are leftovers from map creation and devs didnt bother removing them or texturing them cause whats the point lol

What I didn't like in the cat's model is that they did not model the animation of the eye's diaphragm. The pupils of his eyes are always round and big and that looks unnatural.

I love when you show off the tricks indie developers use to get by with (generally) fewer resources than the big developers. I loved learning about the reused lights and forced perspective windows!
