I would really love this saame exact video but comparing dlaa to dlss quality. As all this video really does for me every time I watch it, is confirm that dlaa is almost always superior.

However dlaa vs dlss, I'd like to see your thoughts on very very much, to see the quality difference in purely the upscaling not the aa difference

Native will always be better, especially at lower resolutions. FSR and DLSS just introduce oversharpening and film grain.

ALSO on my NVIDIA card FSR did never give me any performance boost it just looks worse... unless you manually turn down the games resolutiopnscaling which would give me performance boost anyway

FSR and DLSS are better than Native 1080p in 95% of the game where you can't turn off TAA. TAA on 1080p screens blurs everything on movement.

it is NOT better than native, even if antialiasing is better, the image is softer and loses detail.

I’m actually pleasantly surprised by FSR, considering that it was using an RTX GPU and it’s not gate-kept on just one architecture is not bad at all

Anyone know where Shadow of The Tomb raider would probably fall into? Been trying to figure out how to best achieve a consistent 60fps at 4K, I have everything maxed with AA at SMAAT2x. It is consistent about 80% of the time, but when it slows it sort of sucks (by the way I don't have a monitor i use my TCL75Q825 so gsync and all that other fancy stuff is not an option, I always use regular vertical sync). If I set the internal resolution scaler to about 85% it will be basically perfect, but I was wondering with this game I'd be just better off with DLSS set to Quality mode.

Developers should just replace the DLL is the most irresponsible statement I've ever seen this channel make. You don't 'just replace a dll' as that marries you to whatever problems that might create that you don't know about - given you haven't done the testing or QA to know it's not going to cause a problem - anyone who has ever programmed would tell you that's a asinine statement to make for a commercial product even if it's only a game. Yeah it might work, it also might not - it also can introduce massive bugs into the system due to a namespace conflict or other odd thing because you didn't test it - in the realm of tossing a turbo on your car engine - you can do it but it will void your warranty. Unreal.

Straight up depends on the individual game and implementation as well as your monitor size and resolution. It works better with 4K almost universally. I use a 32" 1440p display and it has wonderful image quality with DLDSR/DLAA but really hit or miss with DLSS. In some titles DLSS is absolutely awful. In others it's magic. Darktide has the best DLSS I've seen so far. Literally the best available AA solution in the game.

Doesn't seem like a very meaningful recommendation, though. If a person wants to use DLSS for the IQ benefits it can bring, they're only going to go with Performance because the better modes still result in unacceptably low FPS. The remaining choice is then whether 4K Performance is preferable to whatever Native resolution would match that FPS, probably in the 1080-1440 range.

For me, even on my RTX 4090, DLSS Quality is always worth it over native, since it's basically a wash in terms of which gives a better image overall (DLSS usually has better anti-aliasing and less shimmering, while native is a little sharper), but the performance boost is huge, letting me play at 4K 120FPS in many games. I'd also argue that at 4K sharpness matters less since its still very sharp either way and you'll struggle to see the difference at normal viewing distances, so I'd rather have less flickering and aliasing than sharpness, along with the performance boost.

The fact that it's even a debate at all about which has a better picture basically means an automatic win for DLSS since it gives you significantly better performance.

Thank full to Nvidia for dlss,only reason i can still use my 2060 super on 4k.they fucked up big on 4000 series but its their own greed not dlss.

i just mod it to 3.1.14 and open it to quality mod with 59fps lock g sync on

It make my 4090 consume below 150w while retain 90% in game image quality compare to native which will consume around 200+

A lot of the shimmering you might find in DLSS is actually because the sharpness filter setting is usually set too high. You can actually get rid of, or dramatically reduce that shimmering effect in God of War by turning off all the sharpening.

that's why i use DLAA. But since i have 1080p with an rtx 4090 (I'm waiting for an 4k qdoled 34 inch monitor). I usually turn on dldsr. Like in cyberpunk i play at 1440p, dlaa turned on too, with frame gen but not dlss and path tracing for 70 fps avg. But i cap it at 60 to keep it smooth
