I don’t find the Apex Pro to be similar to P770 in looks. I get what Ian was trying to portray, but I find the P770 to be a bit thicker on top and bulky in general.
ОтветитьIt seems that Callaway hold on to those weights and don’t give them out. So if you’re not an actual Callaway club builder, they’re hard to get. Which kind of defeats the purpose. So be careful when you say it’s great for club builders.
ОтветитьNice review! I currently play Ping i59’s and was wondering how these compare?
ОтветитьIf doing a blended set do you recommend making the CB or Pro lofts stronger or weaker to one set?
ОтветитьQuestion for the pro fitters. In a combo set, would you recommend the same shaft from 4i to PW or it would be ok to have one specific shaft for the 4-5-6 and a different one for the 7-8-9-PW?
Here’s why I’m asking. I got fitted for a combo 4-5-6 Paradym (weak lofted) and 7-8-9-PW Apex CB (strong lofted) with True temper Elevate 95g shaft. Numbers where dialled in 7 iron 125mph ball, 6000 rpm backspin, carry 180.
The issue came when I was ready to order them, Callaway doesn't install that shaft in the CB. I went back to try the True temper Dynamic gold XP 95g S300. Numbers were pretty much the same but feel was not the same probably due to the kick point being mid for the Dynamic gold and low for the Elevate.
Which of theses two options would be better and why?
1- Go with the Paradym/CB combo with two different shafts.
2- Go with the Paradym/Apex pro combo to be able to have the Elevate shaft in all irons.
Hope I can get some good advice on that.
Cheers!
It would be nice when you’re talking about the soul of the club to show us with your finger or a pencil or something what you’re talking about the grind on the front what it is in the middle is shaved off in the back
ОтветитьInteresting to hear you talk, and manufacturers emphasize bounce/turf interaction in the design. But instructors emphasize forward shaft lean to compress the ball and get longer distances. Doesn’t this lean negate the bounce built into the design?
ОтветитьBeen waiting for these irons for over a year now, can’t wait to get the triple combo set
ОтветитьReally late to the game here. Are they making the DCBs again?
ОтветитьYikes, Club Champion wiping the TXG name is a major misstep. Might as well write all that goodwill off from acquisition.
Unfortunately, I and others have had mediocre to terrible experiences at best from CC. I love the guys on the channel, but if i wanted to subscribe to Club Champion I would've done that on my own.
Not sure that this was a review, having a rep from the brand in the room seems kinda influential. Additionally, and I’m not making accusations here, if Callaway paid to feature their irons, that should be disclosed.
ОтветитьHow do they compare to the t150’s would you be tempted to put these in the bag?
ОтветитьWhich model would be comparable to the JPX 923 Tour or T150?
ОтветитьReally digging the look of the new apex line. Can’t wait to hit them pros. Business is business. Best of luck gents.
ОтветитьClub Champion isn't a good fitting outfit for the money. Spread the word.
ОтветитьFeels like a big miss getting rid of the TXG brand.
Ответитьwish i had a place to get properly fitted where im at
ОтветитьFWIW, i ckicked on this before the Titleist review because they look sexy !!
ОтветитьThe screws make it look ugly
ОтветитьSticks and stones, same quality , I hope Ian got paid a little bit more to drop the name
