When I logged into my new phone and tried to restore my WhatsApp, I entered my mobile number but couldn't remember the encrypted backup password. So, I skipped the backup restoration, set up a new password in the settings, and uninstalled WhatsApp. Then, I reinstalled it and allowed it to fetch the backup from Google Drive. However, after preparing, I received an error message that said, "Unable to restore your chats from this backup. Do you want to restore your chats from an older backup?" It asked for an older backup, but I only have one backup, the present one. I'm unable to restore from my current backup

I've 100% genuine method , I have already done successfully after too many attempts.

Support cannot help you if you lost the password or key. If you still have whatsapp installed on the old device through, you can transfer chats from there. Method 1) Provided you didn't delete whatsapp: Before turning on old phone, block all the internet access (turn off your router, etc.) When on turn on airplane mode. (You can turn on router again) Now go to whatsapp, settings, backups and diaable encryption. Make sure correct backup account is selected (that is already on the old device). Click on back up now and a fraction later, turn on wifi for the backup to commence.
If that didn't work, Method 2) If whatsapp is still installed on old device, setup the old device like new. When you enter your phone, you will get a verification code in whatsapp on the new device. You should cancel the transfer of messages to the old phone during setup. Now for drive backup, you may try restoring it, but the old device may not have the key stored. If it doesnt restore, cancel the restore. Now, see if the saved messages are still on the old device. Now setup the new phone again, if the messages are on the od device, transfer them using whatsapp setup. If they are not, cancel the transfer.
Method 3: Look for where or if you might have saved the backup password or encryption key. Try searching Notes app, paper notebook, document wallets, etc. that you may have a copy. To restore from drive if you already setup, you will have to log out of whatsapp and log back in again. If you enter the code from another whatsapp app, you will have to cancel the transfer from the other app. If it does not prompt you again to restore drive, you will have to delete app data, and try again. You can try multiple passwords by pressing the back button. If you have written down a long string of numbers (64 digits) then you will have to select the encryption key option when restoring from drive.

The option you gave is useless, however, this was what I did I received 98% of my messages. So before I did the encrypted backup I did backed up my chat the usual way, it was after that I created the encryption.

I reinstalled whatsapp on my old device and I was prompt to enter my encrypted password, there was an option that says turnoff encryption, I did that and just used my verification code to get in. Only the messages from the time I uninstalled I didn't receive. Hope this help someone 🙏🏽

What an useless video, offcourse this does not work. Whatsapp does not want and mosly can't help you. Your chats are gone.
At least they could make it so you can try some passwords without waiting for hours for the next attempt.

hello i am using whatsapp on iphone and i never made any password , now when i try to restore it says "your account is not associated with a password please enter your 64 digit encryption key"

Without Putting any password in my new device. I activated my Whatsapp again on my old device and all the data was there.
Then I turn off my end-to-end Encrypted password and then took new backup again.

I can log in again, I also forgot the password, but I can again. The way to enter wa then skip recovery. After entering wa, open chat settings, chat backup, end-to-end encrypted backup, then open your 64-digit code, then just after it appears on the screen shoot. After that, re-enter WA from the start, restore using the 64-digit code. Thank God, I can log in again and all the chats are back. I hope this helps

You can only recover before uninstall app ..once un install then you never get backup without password even WhatsApp also helpsless

The third option doesn't work. All they did was responding to my request with this text: If you can’t remember your password and don’t have access to your WhatsApp chats, you will be unable to access your backup. WhatsApp can’t reset your password or help restore your backup.
