i wouldnt be surprised if a big ocean creature sees something as big as a boat, it wouldnt even bother finding out what it is, because its not worth the risk. gotta have some insane survival instinct and intelligence to get to that size/age

Fact of the matter is we dont really know whats out there. We know more about the surfsce of the moon than we do about the deep ocean

This wildlife expert claimed there was bull sharks in the great lakes and that they have the highest testosterone level of anything. Hes wrong on both. Easily debunked, so what other stuff is he full of it on?

My money is on a large great white. Even they can get up to 6m (20ft). I'm sure Orcas and Sperm Whales would have a crack too

I wonder how many people remember when the US were doing those tests in the ocean with that new Echo locator and it was driving the whales and everything else upon Auntie land I personally think they found something and what I was big and they were trying to kill it or get it washed ashore or something so I'm a firm believer in there something in those oceans that the government knows about but they're not saying nothing about

the megladon terrorized the oceans, and is large. it died off during the great dying. but if you think, what did the megalodon eat during its time? what and how did it survive? and almost more importantly, during the great dying, how was this effected? now. competition for food sources is key, in modren days, with us having large whales and stuff, the megalodon would absolutely thrive hard. IF there where megladons out there still, we would defiantly know about it, because they sure as hell would not be even close to endangered.
now with that said, we also have evolution. look at how much humans have changed in say even the last 1 million years. considering homo-sapiens started what 200-300k years ago? now, megalodon went extinct about 3.5 million years ago. how much would they of changed and evolved by now? there are no megaldons, the idea of, some species, went through some mass extinction events, and hasnt evolved at all, and remained hidden from us, while being that huge and recognisable. just isnt reallity. its like saying, what if T-Rex was still around? well... in some ways it is, sorta. the nearest relative being the Chicken.

Not to be that guy, but if the best theory is "Meg did it" then are we sure this is reliable? Are we happy to say something(s) ate this and its not staged?

Theres probably like a 25+ foot great white shark that did it. More believable than a shark that has been extinct for a very long time

So i think its a shark that has something going on with what controls its growth hormones or whatever it is called

Took long enough for the monster squids etc to be found ,so I don’t see how we can deny them 100% not specifically a Meg but something of significant size and predatory power. Especially when we can’t observe the entire globes oceans never mind at the extreme depths too

We know more about space than we do our own oceans. There's so many species of different creatures that we've never seen. Who knows what's all out there. With global warming it's possible many sea animals are going deeper to get into cooler waters. I don't think it's impossible but definitely improbable.

I believe megalodons still exist. Such a small part of the ocean has ever been explored. There are so many sea creatures that were said to be extinct but then were found such as the Giant Squid, the Chambered Nautilis, Omura
Whale, and Coelacanth, etc..
