I'm going to attempt this this week, every other video I watched was super complicated with hundreds of measurements and everything else needing to be taken, thanks for keeping it simple.
ОтветитьI do the same thing but start at the bottom. There’s more wiggle room with the top drawer.
ОтветитьGreat video, but where EXACTLY is the drawer slide positioned? Does the slide line up with the EDGE of the cupboard?
ОтветитьHow do you get the measurments for the wood to attach the slides to any drawer?
ОтветитьFINALLY the 1st you tube video that’s PERFECT! No waisting my time with some long video of of BS of stuff I really don’t care about. This is precise to the point. Executed quickly. A Fixed camera not shaking around making me sick, great angle. Just like a professionally shot video. Awesome keep them coming. Thank you
ОтветитьI'd rather smack you, than the like button.
Its the drawer part that is hard, not the cabinet.
That’s easy enough but how do you put the other part of the drawer slide on the drawer evenly so it matches up what’s already drilled in on the cabinet.?.??
Ответитьyou could've finished this video in 5 seconds, why did you make it for almost 3 minutes?
ОтветитьThis is useless. Yes, a piece of scrap wood helps you get two slides parallel. But how do you match the piece to the drawer? Where does that go? Thumbs down!
ОтветитьI have drawers with the bracket in the back that’s broke. I can’t put new ones in, they are way back trying to screw in the bracket with a screw driver. Tried for an hour and gave up. Screw keeps fell out. So need a different way
ОтветитьVideo completely skips the 2 most difficult steps. Locating the precise height and length of the mounting location. Like a driving video that only shows how to turn on the car and use the blinkers.
ОтветитьAnd where do I buy this magic sized wood that just has the right size of the slide position?
ОтветитьWhat if the cabinets are 70 years old, not whatsoever, and your drawers are also not perfect and 90° angles?
ОтветитьHe said bottom and screw in ? Lol 😂
ОтветитьGood one!
Some things are so simple once you have seen them done.
Liked. Sub'd.
How did you determine the necessary height?
ОтветитьBrilliant!
ОтветитьThis is amazing, thank you. The thumbs up button didn't work 😮
ОтветитьWhat a fuckin voice 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
ОтветитьI need to know how to get the drawers back in??
Ответить"You’ll just have to figure out the maths". You’ve invented what here? BTW, if your piece of magic wood isn’t square, your drawers won’t be level. AJ (below, a year before me) suggested the maths was a key missing part in the video and while you took the feedback, appear to have little about it. Clickbate.
ОтветитьWhat if you’re a libra and don’t do math 😂 I really need to learn mathematics if I’m going to rock this shit huh?
ОтветитьWhat, this is a new thought? Everyone who has ever installed sliders has thought of it and realized a measuring tape and a pencil is quicker than embracing tarddom.
ОтветитьI bought a beautiful oak desk for $100 and I spent that much to replace the damn drawer glides. I am starting to regret buying the desk. This is a total and utter nightmare.
ОтветитьGreat idea! Super simple and super easy! In other words, "stupid proof"....
ОтветитьHave to agree this is the simplest method no brainer thing to solve. Your drawer installation height.
ОтветитьFantastic, a video on how to mount a drawer slide w/o any damn drawers!!!! Love your enthusiasm, hate the fact you missed the #1 thing I watched the video for...
ОтветитьIf I could click 'LIKE' twice I would, since I have watched this twice now. I have installed drawers many times - WITH THIS method. thank you so much. Just came back for a refresher, as it has been a while.
ОтветитьAwesome technique and works perfectly. Just wondered if those runners can be installed flat/horizontal, to allow a worktop to slide forward slightly off the top of a cabinet? It's something i'm considering for easy access down the back between cupboard and the wall. Sadly I can't put them on the edges and prefer the worktop to slide neatly without wobbling and rubbing the cabinets either side. It would only need to slide forward 200mm. I could make slide rails out of hardboard but these runners look robust. Appreciate your thoughts 🙂
ОтветитьThat will work but only if the bottom base is level 🤔👍
ОтветитьI'm less then amateur but the easiest way is to make holes when they are disasembled on your table on flat sheet.
ОтветитьWhat do you do if the base of your cabinet is not level? Meaning a piece of wood cut to the height of the base of the drawer slide may need to be different from the left slides to the right slides to be level.
ОтветитьSimple short and sensible video. Thanks for posting.
Ответитьthank you
ОтветитьThis was no help brother
ОтветитьGreat idea but only if that scrap piece is cut square on both ends
ОтветитьYour hands-on ability is really strong.
ОтветитьThat is the easy part. How did you align the rails for the Drawer boxes?
ОтветитьWow I use those exact drawer slides.
That's a solid way to get them in accurately.
For those comments asking how to fit the inner slides etc.
Take the inner rail off the slide and screw to the side of the drawer. Leaving the inner rail about 2mm up from the bottom.
For the outer rail, it will be 22mm from the bottom of the drawer to the holes for the screws.
Marking for a full set of drawers is done by marking the gaps between the drawer faces along the height of the carcass, then 22mm above any drawer face line will leave the drawer above just scraping the one below it.
So I add another 15mm or so. 22+15 = 37, round to 35
Mark 35mm above all the gaps between the drawers, measure from the inside of the bottom shelf up to each line and note the height of each, on the first pass.
Run those lines up both sides and screw in all the drawer rails.
If I'm doing several lockers the same height, this allows me to transfer those height measurements over to all the other units.
Just knowing it's 22mm from the screw hole to the bottom of the drawer allows for fairly quick measuring and fitting.
Genius! Thx.
ОтветитьHmmm... I did exactly as you show in this video, and then I put my drawer in between the slides and it just fell to the bottom of my cabinet! (Maybe you need to show the OTHER HALF of this process?!)
ОтветитьLe Kashmiri Carpenters : Hold my kebab 😂
ОтветитьGenius!
ОтветитьAll fun and games untill the floor isn’t plumb hahahahahah
ОтветитьYou might be a genius.
ОтветитьWonderful Concept, Where is part two of the Video attaching the draws.😄😄😄
ОтветитьYour the man love that idea I was up all night thinking of how to do it man that’s easy you rock
ОтветитьQuestion. 66" x 35" under desk clear. Rectangle legs on either side. Keyboard 56"W 11.10" D 5" Tall. Weight 40.8 lbs. Need piano to be back towards the back of the desk, then pull box on slides to edge of the desk, slides in box extend out 12" so the piano can be played. Unable to get advice on the best sliders to use, meaning the under the desk part, pretty straight forward, however when it comes to pulling out another set of slides, they need to be able to handle the weight, not wobble up-down left-right. With the width being 56 wide, figuring out weight stress is touch. Could you offer any suggestions? I wonder if there is a way to not use an enclosed box, or other ways to make this project better? Thanks
ОтветитьVery awesome work %100 🥰🥰🥰
