❤❤❤this is new fast one of my preferred Chanels for TV. i came back for a comment. I am so excited that Hisense is bringing their high end UX n other stuff here in USA. I have seen them havin 100” 120” 4k tv. 8k tv. Crazy ass $30000 Laser tv in Asian site. But they were too. Nervously bring it to USA/Canada. Cuz ppl where are arrogant n judgemental. Bringin a GOOD tech, is like exposing yourself to allow the Brand royal fallowers grew up with Play Station to OPENLY mock their good honest tech.
I hope all the TV influncers do honest review this year than Last year Digital trends. Andrew Robinson…——setting Hisense UX to : 😮FilM Maker Mode, SHARPness Set to “0%” Motion smooth: OFF. Color space :”swab from Native to Auto” , all upscaling set to OFF. ——I am NOT making this up. They show in their “Reveiws”. They just talk fast. 😮UNLESS U own Hisnse already u wont know what they r DOING. N “look at that, Motion so terriable “ n Andrew Robinson had his wife :”wow this is unwatchable. “ n SHOW NO footage of Actual Terriable. I can use AI to generate my own female voice into a Male voice myself with some footage of existing Voice of that person. 😂

If it has the uniformity, this looks like the one to get. I went through 2 LG G3 units and returned both due to crappy uniformity, it is time to try something else.

This is a bullsh1t, they are still pushing brightness every year, but i dont understand why, its a nonsense bullsh1t. Then is ten sun shining, 1500 or 2000 nits is absolutely enought, but in the night it will burn your eyes

3000 nit but on the 75u8k, they can't even have 0 black border on 21:9 film content. They should focus more on backlight control than pushing pointless numbers.

ULEDs/QLEDs are great and close to OLEDs, BUT only WHEN they actually work as intended.
Again, companies ( especially Sumsung 👈.. etc .. ) can fucUP/break our QLED TVs "local dimming" via software, and those QLED/ULED TVs then can be thrown in the garbage.

All the best TV tech, OLED or QLED, is a scam in disguise waiting to happen, not because of hardware failure but because of their software "updates."
It has become so easy for companies to break our tech, with just a simple software touch, so we are forced to be in constant loop of buying new TV every few years.

What about the TCL QM8 2024? They not only upgraded to the pentonic 700 which should greatly improve upscaling, but they also more than doubled dimming zones again to up to 5000 instead of 2000, added atsc 3.0, wifi 6, and brightness up to 5000 nits. Honestly I suspect their flagship there will beat the U8K if its accurate for EOTF, but we'll have to see them both come out to really compare.

I'll be looking forward to seeing side by side comparisons of the top Mini LED TVs vs OLEDs this year. It really seems like there's a lot of R&D and improvements being packed into Mini LED TVs this year. They've definitely closed the gap, but have any surpassed the top OLEDs yet? I think that remains to be seen.

The most important thing to check with Hisense is processing in particular motion handling. The K series had horrendous motion handling. If this hasn't been drastically improved none of the other specs matter.

Also 3000 nits.. I'm assuming that's the best case. The G4 is also 3000 nits best case and will be vastly superior.

If budget constraints rule out the G4 or you need something very big this might be worth a look I guess if they've sorted our their processing. Though from what I've seen the U8 this year isn't getting ADS and is stuck on VA 🤢. If that's the case and processing isn't drastically improved I don't see why anyone shopping for a budget TV would choose them over TCL.

Had a rough time with the 75" ADS Pro U8K. Returned 3 of them and eventually gave up and asked for a refund. I did not see what everyone was raving about, and I can only assume the great reviews were for the 65" VA panel version. Lifted blacks, overly dim HDR in scenes devoid of highlights, and yellowing on the edges when a white border meets the black bars. Broke my heart. If the U8N is improved, I have no issues giving it a shot this year. In fact, I'm looking forward to it.

So next years model will most likely be 4000 nits which is as much as you would ever need for future proofing as 4000 nits is rumored to be the next level that HDR is mastered in.

This year can be called the Return of the LEDs because it's all about the LED TVs.

It looks like HiSense are switching to even smaller led with the MiniLed Pro+ which gives more light and more control. The one we are all waiting to see is Sony because their backlight demo seemed to do small highlights really well which is where OLEDs tend to beat LEDs (that and blacks but blacks are more of a subtitle blooming thing than anything else). If LEDs address subtitle blooming and add highlights, OLEDs are going to lose their lead. The A95L and G3/G4 might stay relevant but the A80L and C3 will look very dim when displaying the sun or clouds or anything that can benefit from 1,500 nits. I saw the S90C next to a X90L and the S90C was clearly struggling to display the image in bright scenes. Against the successor to the X95L or U8N, it's not going to be a contest.

However OLEDs that do 1,000 nits full screen as opposed to 200 are really impressive, We were looking at Katie Schwarz's Venice 4k HDR on an iPhone 15 and my Samsung S10+ (the S10 is brighter) and it looks stunning on these OLEDs but OLED TVs cannot do full screen brightness the way these phones do or my laptop OLED can which is even more impressive. OLEDs TVs need 1,000 nits full window or at least 50-75% window - at that point, the extra brightness may become a matter of preference. I can't imagine anyone complaining about an OLED TV that does 1,000 nits full window with highlights of 2,000 nits.

Honestly bro the U8K is still good. The U8N seems to be a little bit better now. The question becomes, is it worth upgrading to it because I'm in the market for a new TV after my U8H broke after two accidents my only reason for looking at this particular model compared to the other two is because of the feature set it has all the features minus the DTSX along with that premium picture.

Shout about high dimming zones, brightness and giant screen sizes, it accounts to nothing if processing and upscalling is inferior.
