I have a question - why would I need Nextcloud if I have TrueNas Core installed.. I can upload and download files right from TrueNas.. Is there a benefit of Nextcloud that I am not aware of? I have no need to reach my files remotely from the internet only through my local network..

Hey Kevin, I've recognized, that my nextcloud processing bar stucks when uploading folders with multiple files. The Files were uploaded successfully, but the bar stays. When refreshing, everything seems to be good. I have that issue on several nextcloud installs --> manually, docker, truenas plugin except NextCloudPi. Do you have an idea, where that comes from? Nice tutorial! I just finished syncing my iphone photos & videos with nextcloud following your guide. But, 1) my gui does not show any preview for videos, 2) if i play videos (.mov) I only hear audio with black screen. Photos work fine as expected. What could be missing.

Hello, thx for sharing! I followed exactly to the instruction and got my NextCloud setup in TrueNas. One final problem, the default upload size limit is 512mb .... how do I get that changed to a bigger limit?

Great easy to follow guide but I have one issue maybe you or someone can answer. The reason I wanted Nextcloud is to run the app on all the kids phones but I can’t seem to connect to my instance via the IP address on the app. Any ideas?

Hello, I had a question ... I installed Nextcloud inside Truenas as in the video. Everything works very well. How would the Nextcloud data backup process be? I did not find any documentation regarding this case (Truenas / Nextcloud). Could you indicate me? Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us!

I'm trying to install the nextcloud plugin (21.0.1) on a fresh truenas (12.0-U3.1) and get several errors thrown near the end of the installation. When going to the nextcloud login page after installing, it also asks me to create a database instead of just having to login with ncadmin. Entering the info from the post install notes gives me:

Error while trying to create admin user: Failed to connect to the database: An exception occurred in the driver: SQLSTATE[HY000] [2054] The server requested authentication method unknown to the client.

Any ideas? When I installed truenas 12.0-U3 a few weeks ago on a test machine, the nextcloud plugin worked fine as shown in this video, but now I can't get it to run. Assuming the mysql version got updated?

Hey, im gonna throw this out there as well for anyone WHO HATES VI. my god that made it hard to edit. anyways, before CD into the directory, do "pkg installl nano", this will install Nano which is a linux text editor and makes it WAY easier. Install nano, then do "nano config.php" when you are cd'd to the correct directory and you can edit it WAY easier. just throwing that out there

I'd love to move out from OMV to Truenas but for some reason R/W speeds to and fro Truenas is too slow but the same setup in OMV is fast. If you're curious about the numbers, if I'm transferring a Windows 10 ISO from my PC to Truenas its about 15-20mbps but if I do the same with OMV its 112mbps. Not sure why :(

Everything is installed- process was great. Stumbled a little in the shell but I got there. Around 6 minutes you talk about "putting some sort of security in here" but then you don't elaborate on that. Is that on the truenas side or the nextcloud side? A little confused?
