I love watching paranormal videos. I wouldn't call myself a believer, but I am definitely open to the possibility that it could be real. But I will always be the first person to ask "how could this video have been faked or altered to achieve this affect?"

In the videos I watch, I'm always on the lookout for blind spots, places where someone could hide, cuts in editing, evidence of video or audio tampering, etc. I really want the paranormal to be real, but I want actual, real, undisputable evidence that it is. I personally have never experienced anything that could not then be explained by something logical, so my own weird occurrences that I went through first hand are nothing but funny little coincidences or easily explainable random events. I can confidently say I have never experienced anything that I feel is truly paranormal.

Even when a video is fake, though, there is something to be said for the entertainment and spook value of paranormal videos. We're all aware that movies are fake, but we're still able to suspend our disbelief and just have fun. People should treat online paranormal content the same way. Harmless fun.

The ghost fakers really need to stop and think before they may their fakes. Take that kitchen scene as an example. If you take all the stuff out from below, a person can hide in the cabinet and push the drawer out on cue. You can tie 3 strings together.. One runs to the fork. One runs to a fixed anchor point and one you pull on. When you pull the string away from the anchor point, the junction of the 3 strings moves towards a point between you and the anchor. This pulls the fork towards a point that is not along the path to where you are hiding. Using two different methods like this means that you can get rid of the business of all motions being in the same direction.

The cats eyes are scarier than any of these so called ghosts.

IR doesn't work like our eyeballs. It sees a different range of light spectrum. In order for us to be able to see it, it is converted into black and white. It's super low light so just about any movement creates blurs and transparencies.

You're clearly leaving out the fact that the ghosts just wants their story known! Paranormal activity caught on tape will tell you this shit!

Ive been watching a lot of paranormal investigations lately and i have to say thank god theres people like you who use reason and logic to debunk stuff. All the "investigators" are super biased and freak out at every tiny crack noise or whatever, and dont get me started on spiritboxes/ovulus etc

Those videos makes me wonder why ghosts only walking around creating huge messes? Our only purpose after we die is to go around slamming doors and tossing silverware and other objects all around the room?

It’s really strange that you never see a ghost handling a prop with some sort of purpose and showing dexterity while handling an object. It’s almost as if ghosts like to used monofilament fishing line to toss things around like a kid having a temper tantrum.

Another thing that causes many ghost sightings is that most people have no clue as to how video compression works. Objects that stand still are just copied to the next frame and only resolve anything that’s is moving. That is how the background can be resolved over the moving object. It may only resolve some parts of the person or object creating strange visuals.

The night vision also confuses people, because they don’t realize that the night vision works by sending out infrared light, which is invisible to us and can only illuminate items based on how far an object is from the camera. Someone walking down the street at night would appear to vanish once they move outside the range of the infrared projection. Most nightvision CCTV cameras have only a range of 20 yards or so.
