I bought a granite frying pan. Used it twice now. Doesnt seem to reach the heat of my old frying pan. I had chopped onion in there tonight. Was on full heat for a while and the onion barely softened or browned. Nah....im not impressed

so hard to accept this information since it starts out with incorrect information about what ceramic pans are -they are not in fact ceramic and are only so labelled because of their shiny similar to ceramic look.

I love granite. Once I got used to using lower heat while frying, I love it!

You should not use ceramic or granite above 400f.
