Exclusive Ableton Live 9 Demo: Audio to Midi

hmm i wanna know how i can make from a ambient sound in audio track (wav file) and convert that into midi so i can make different pitch notes and melodies. that wave file cant go in a midi track. help me plz

im trying to get used to it but its soo weird :D

i agree with the compatibility, converting to wav really does take up a lot of space, especially if you're a DJ

Wish they had a proper tag search, proper m4a / flac compatibility (not converting things to wav and wasting disc space. Also the ability to see multiple waveforms for djing and better looping. Would like to be able to see both views at the same time. Better swing. Muti-monitor / touch screen support

It would be cool if Ableton added clip envelope templates with lots of different shapes to choose from. An envelope 'lag' function would be welcome too!

Woulda loved to see swipe comping (or equivalent) as in Logic, I/O naming, auxes/busses as in other DAWs, and a hot key to move a clip recorded in arrangement view to the next available slot in session view. Don't get me wrong though, I do love the new features they've added.

You can quantize the notes' ends instead of using the note length plugin.
