Cool, I'd love to maximize the use of my multimeter and future multimeters.

Why'd need to measure the frequency though? Won't it always be 60Hz for the US and 50Hz for europe?

I dont know where you are at but I suspect you should have measured 0.05 Khz on your meter

What the feck is wrong with your power supply that it is 0.04kHz - UK supply is 50Hz or 0.05kHz - I think your meter is goosed or you have a problem in your neighbourhood!

short and sweat, Thank you, i was wondering why i was getting poor result in getting frequency from 555 timer. measurement. a lot of people would not have stated poor measurement at 'these levels.

It's "aitch", not "haitch". (Even the spell-check when writing this comment picked up the unrecognized word: "haitch")

If my multimeter doesn't have Hz or Frequency, i'll use a 60Hz 115V hair clippers with 50w step down transformer to be used in 220V countries.

Quietness for 60Hz and
Loudness for 50Hz.

If you have a multimeter with frequency, it's says "FREQ" or "Hz".

can i measure or set my car amplifiers hertz by using my multimeters hertz setting? using test tones and dialing it in the amplifiers frequency nobe?

mains frequency is hertz and not khz ... you need an edit !!
