VmWare Player - How to get the Virtual Network Editor

Thank you so much. For VMWare Workstation Player 17 (Free), executed the following command: VMware-workstation-full-17.0.2-21581411.exe /x Then only needed to copy vmnetcfg.exe from my current %temp% folder to my existing VMWare Player (Free) install folder and execute it with Administrator privileges.

Its telling me to install vmware workstation i already have it installed and the command is not working

Hey this technique is not working for vmware 14 workstation pro, not able to extract the file.

for version 14, after you extract the msi file from the download, copy only the vmnetcfg.exe (under \EXTRACTED-FOLDER\VMware\VMware Workstation\) and it should work

this does not work for workstation 14 :(
that means that i have to downgrade to workstation 10 oh well.

Actually, I could not find the .dll file. So, I just copied the vmnetcfg.exe and ran it and it worked! Sweet!

what about dns server

How come when I do the extract, it asked me to install?

Thank you very much, saved me a lot of time trying to remove adapters.

This worked using VMWare Workstation Player 12.

I don't think this works anymore for version 12 and up though.
