The “wooden planks” placed horizontally supporting your roof (slab) is called 'shuttering' and the “wooden logs” placed vertically supporting the shuttering is called 'formwork'. The removal process is called Deshuttering. The Formwork can be removed only after concrete has achieved sufficient strength.
