NVIDIA RTX Voice in the new OBS Studio Version 27? AI-Based Noise Removal, But is It Good?

Awesome video!! For anyone curious about my particular case/findings. I have been testing the two out on my Dell G3 15 laptop with an Intel i1-9750H CPU and GTX 1650 GPU. Im noticing the built in RNNoise allows some background noise on the audio bar but nothing noticed in the recording. With the RTXvoice there is no background noise on the audio bar and again nothing noticed in the recording. Audio quality does not sound that much different. The RTXvoice does sound a bit more suppressed but you have to be listening for it. I also used a third party software NZXT CAM to check my CPU usuage between the two. I average 11% with the RNNoise and 10% with RTX Voice. (The differential could be background apps but I wanted to take a look at overall CPU usage.) The OBS cpu usage showed an average difference of .3% over 1 minute of testing so minimal usage on the CPU requirements. Atleast with my set up, there is no noticable difference and RTX voice took longer to set up. I personally will be using RTX voice going forward.

Can this be used in anything besides OBS? I use it in OBS but was just curious. BTW the plugin is INSANE. I got rid of all my filters using this and it blocks out EVERYTHING. Like 100%.

It looks like the Filter does not work on a 16 series card but RTX voice does work and is better and RN voice

Thank you for taking the time to put all of his info together. I was already using the rmnnoise suppression and was wondering about how this new integrated one would work. Will need to test some on my end :)

I wonder how much CPU usage the in-built OBS RTX voice has compared to the NVIDIA app. I also hope to see the RTX Voice feature one day available as a VST plugin instead. Thanks for the vid!

Another great video, this noise reduction filter comparison is truly useful especially considering the many challenges of recording audio in untreated or less than ideal rooms and surrounded by environments that are out of our control.
