this in black even dark blue or green looks sick lowerd with front lip its not that bad and that interior and those seats are amazing and this car drives so well u can be at 700hp with couple boltons and tune this car is crazy

Just so u guess know this guy just like most of us opinion on the grille has changed. I love the grille becuase u can get many different styles like the adro ,CSL and Vorstiener grilled that look so much more aggresive and unique

For this color combo id fork over the extra money for the seats. Besides this combo is rather not spend the money for the carbo seats.

Dude made no sense when discussing the design of the car. He loves the protruding bottom of the rear but didn’t even point out how it is symmetrical with the front of the cars design. His critique of the front was a rambling mess and sounded like he was just stringing together words to sound smart.

Taken this one in Touring exactly in the color combo. Just discarded the bucket seat in favor of the classic sport seats.

Disagree with all the talk saying the g80 look bad. It’s a BEAUTIFUL car from every single angle

I picked up my 2023 M3 comp x last week, even though I am still under the 1200 mile break in…. It is a monster. I am trying to keep it under 4500 rpm(per dealer) but it is difficult 😁

How would those seats do on a long drive? Seems like they would not be comfortable after about an hour or so.

Stunning vehicle, the grille has grown on me especially when combined with a darker paint color.

Traditionally, I have been a Lexus IS driver, and I currently have a revocable deposit down on an IS 500 - a car that you reviewed, of course. With that said, I also have a revocable deposit down on a 2022 BMW M3 Competition xDrive - basically because I am undecided. I realize that these cars are not in the same space performance-wise - nor are they price-wise. Finally, I almost purchased an E46 many years ago, but I found that it was way too stiff for my daily taste. If I purchased a new 2022 M3, I would probably use the comfort mode most of the time. With all of that context, I was wondering if you have any particular thoughts to help sway me. Thanks for any thoughts - much appreciated.

You right about the color. It makes the hideous front more visible and the blue interior doesn't go with the exterior color. Over all the current m3 is like the honda civic type R. it is trying to be cool but it is really not. The f80 m3 looks better but it is more refined. It doesn't scream for attention. The interior doesn't looks as fancy but it is not bad either. And the front seats in the current M3 don't look comfortable at all. This car is definitely one of those cars that people won't keep for a long time or if they keep it, they will just let sit in the garage and only take it out on weekends.

I think there were three things to consider. One, the previous F80 looked too similar to the F30. Yes an avid BMW enthusiast can tell the difference but most people would think they’re the same car. I would know as I have an F30 with an M sport pack and a lot of other goodies and I get asked often if it’s an M3. You could throw an M3 front and rear bumper and mirrors and a quad exhaust on an F30 and it would very difficult for the average non car person to tell the difference.
Secondly, the grill was to pay homage to the old 1936 328. It had a very tall and skinny grill so the tall grill is far from being anything new on a BMW.
Lastly and most importantly, this actually looks like an M car now. M cars are supposed to be loud and boisterous and say “look at me!” Elegance was never meant for an M vehicle as style doesn’t help you put down a good time on the track. The G80/82 now says to the world that it’s something different than the regular 3 series and it has the functionality to back that statement up.

That is the worst specced M3 I have ever seen. Looks like a 12 year old has specced it.

Im definitely a pro grill fan. Love how aggressive it looks. Loved it from the moment I saw the first images of the grill.

The color is hideous, and the front end looks like it was ripped off an aftermarket mid 2000’s civic body kit. Besides that I like it.

Seats are gorgeous ….but I’m sure BMW will get a fair few back with bottom side bolsters collapsed under warranty

i would get the ceramic brakes, just to keep the rims clean from brake dust
