Interprétation superbe, instrumentistes excellents et j'adore le "chef" qui fait très austère de prime abord mais "tient" son orchestre et l'accompagne du regard, de la main, avec une pétillance dans les yeux complice.

Le tempo est un peu trop rapide. Quand on compare avec la direction de Furtwangler, y a pas photo

Das ist so eine wunderbare und absolut geniale Musik, kongenial gespielt vom Gewandhausorchester unter der Leitung des phantastischen Herbert Blomstedt. Da ist eigentlich keine Steigerung mehr möglich, das ist das alleroberste Fach im Regal. Eine gute halbe Stunde musikalischer Rausch mit großem Abhängigkeitspotential, aber nicht gesundheitsgefährdend. Ganz im Gegenteil, Labsal für die Seele, die mit dieser Musik Flügel bekommt.

Einen riesengroßen Dank an die DW, daß Ihr dieses Masterpiece ins Netz gestellt habt.

H. Blomstedt ist einer der besten Dirigenten des Gegenwarts. Es macht mir immer Spaß, wenn ich seine Aufnahmen anhöre und ansehe. Meine erste Bekanntschaft mit Blomstedt hat seit der 6. Sinfonie von Beethoven angefangen.

Не впечатлило. Темпы через чур быстрые. Особенно первая часть промчалась галопом. Фразы скомканы, грубоваты и не проработаны. Слишком романтическая интерпретация, хотя Бетховен был больше классиком. Такое ощущение , что прослушала Вагнера , а не Бетховена. Оркестр великолепен!!!

Blomstedt is a Maestro in every sense of the word! Listen to his Brahms Requiem - here on YT, Peter Mattei soloist - it is perfection. Funny thing, I must have listeded to Beethoven's 5th hundreds of time before I realized that not just the first movement is built on dot-dot-dot-dash, but EVERY one!
