Hi David, firstly nice video again. Not thoroughly familiar with GDPR yet but does it require website owners to remove user data from email sign-ups yearly? Does that mean those that would like to continue to receive newsletters have to subscribe again every year?

Thank you very much for this video. I've spent a lot of time over the last week wading through the internet researching this stuff, and I had come to the same conclusions as you about how simple it can be, without banners and with a simple and readable privacy policy. It's been very helpful to find my conclusions confirmed.
I have an additional complication in needing to deal with embedded videos and social media sharing links, which sometimes set third-party cookies even before they are followed; I'm thinking of dealing with these with a "two-click" solution in which the links are greyed out and the user is asked to confirm that they are happy to make them live, after being warned of the consequences.
