I dont have kids but i find these facts fascinating. Not very likely that i will have children due to auto immune disease, but maybe the knowledge might be useful for a friend or something.

Also can I please tell all mothers not to hold in their baby through contractions that feel like pushing... My doctor told me to do that and it gave my son a large hematoma on his head and nerve damage in my back. Sometimes the skull can grow over the hematoma and leave your child with a lopsided head sometimes it absorbs back into the scull

It is common for the swelling, if the baby is earlier... My doctor told me my baby was 38 weeks and she was actually 37 weeks so she had that problem

When I was born I had black hair and I had a bluish black spot on my back. That spot didn't go away until I was almost a year old.

Mine had a mongolian mark all across his butt and lower back. Honestly looked like horrible bruising. Our doctor made note of it incase anyone saw it and thought we were abusing our baby.

I work with children and the first time I saw birthmarks like that, I’m sad to say that I suspected abuse. I knew the family well, having taken care of the older siblings before. I was very conflicted about what to do. I’m so glad that I was able to be educated before I did some thing drastic.

One of my babies was born green tinged due to meconium. She also had blood rings around her eyes and bruising on her head due to quick decent.

I learned about a prominent ziphoid via Google when I was like what's this hard bump at the bottom of his chest? My other 2 kids didn't have that. Newborns are interesting to say the least.

However I feel like we shouldn’t be posting fully nude pictures of real newborns/babies even if the parents don’t have an issue with it. They are incapable of voicing for themselves or providing consent, so we must be their voice. Even tho the majority of people seeing these videos think nothing of a naked child, there are a lot of sick people and things in this world. I feel like we should be protecting the children from those things, as it’s unfortunately a very real issue in todays world; I think this protection should also extend to our social media posts about them. This isn’t meant to be hateful at all, I love your videos and the content you create. It’s just something to think about

Back in 89’ CPS took my 2 brothers away from my mom because one of my brothers was born with a small “bruise” above his butt. It wasnt until after almost 2 months of my brothers being away from my mom and dad that a health care worker saw this And told the social worker that the spot wasnt from abuse it was normal for Hispanic babies to come out with those spots. My mom ended up getting my brothers back and they closed the case.

Man, newborn babies are scary. I’m biracial (black mom, white dad), and there were two glaring “problems” when I popped out:

1. I was extremely pale. Like, I looked east asian with blue eyes.
2. My hairline was at my eyebrows.

I’m 17 now and and look exactly how you’d expect a biracial teenager to look, but I freaked my poor father tf out when he saw me for the first time 😭

My daddy said he was so afraid when he first saw me because I was blue. He thought I was a goner!

The swollen labia on my daughter shocked me. Nurse kindly explained it was normal thankfully. Only unexpected thing that happened with her.

I remember seeing pictures of my older brother from the week after he was born and laughing so hard because he looked like a blue/purple little alien worm lol he was born premie and was smaller than a pringles can and had legs like pencils 😂🤣😂 I would have been horrified if he was my first kid lol

I have one to add!! Newborns can lactate. Both males and females, though I've heard it's more common with males. They have to much of the mothers hormones in there little body and they can produce milk. My baby's had it and it's very normal and will stop in a few days to a few weeks!😊

Well my Son's BLUE HANDS AND FEET were from a Severe Congenital Heart Condition called Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome and he had Open Heart Surgery at 10 days, 9 months, 11 months and 2 1/2 years old. He almost died before anyone would listen to me. He wouldn't eat, he was sleeping all the time and wouldn't cry. So Mom's stand your ground if you feel something isn't right with your Baby!!!! I was being told that I was paranoid, because I was a new mother!!!! My Son is 33 now and is work on his 3 Pacemaker and because of his heart being so weak he has the early stages of Cirrhosis of the Liver. HPLS is detectable in an ultrasound so please make sure the technician checks for all 4 chambers of the Heart!!!!!! If they don't go to a Cardiologist and have a Fetal Heart Echo done!!!! We had that done on my other 2 pregnancies. Our 2nd child was fine, but out last one had an ASD. She had a hole that didn't close between the chambers had to have surgery at 2 1/2. She's fine now at 28 and has a daughter who is fine. So please if you feel something is wrong, keep on the Nurses until they can prove that your baby is fine!!! HPLS can be corrected by surgery, some cases are so severe that it requires a Geart Transplant. Know a child who had one and just Graduated last year from high school and is in college now doing Amazing!!!!! Congratulations to all the Mom's and Dads and God Bless each of you🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
