Can not wait for the next video. I am interested in seeing the outcome for this Rig. Great Video
ОтветитьF V I valves fire injector 153624 I've done so many of those comments I can do it with my eyes closed very reliable tough engines
ОтветитьRemember, you have to use what's laying around 😂 it doesn't matter what it looks like it's how good it works
ОтветитьGosh, I ran so many racks on Cummins big and small cams, and now they are antiques! I guess that makes me an antique....DOH!
ОтветитьNice job ZKD
ОтветитьHey Zach, have you ever heard of an ARCO (American Rig Company) drilling unit?
ОтветитьMy first franks 300 was set up to drill. We removed a ton of stuff to get it to well service spec. Over time, we added back items that we thought were junk. For your shallow wells, I wonder if a power swivel skid wouldn't do as well. Not as stout but way easier to manage and then you'd have a nice service rig. Love your site. Good luck !
ОтветитьSweet rig
ОтветитьHowdy Zach
ОтветитьAppreciate your willingness to go through and teach running the overhead on a small cam/big cam Cummins. That’s a good tip on watching the valves instead of looking at the timing marks on the accessory drive. Never know who could of put it on wrong
ОтветитьThanks Zach As always a great video
ОтветитьHell Ya. Easy deal For Zack. Just need the time to do it.
ОтветитьYes! It's running good, nice progress
ОтветитьYour practical technical knowledge is amazing!
ОтветитьI figured out why this truck is so weirdly setup. This rig has had a retruck with a cabover truck but they did not use the cab, they put on a crane Carrier cab on it instead. Really cool
ОтветитьI agree about shutting engines off, I shut mine down all the time, will expand the life of the engine probably by 2x
ОтветитьI really feel like the main character in no country for old men was modeled after Zach
ОтветитьI had to drain water out of an engine that went down in a lake once. This thing was underwater for 3 weeks. Drain the water and oil out of the motor, pulled injectors spun it over with fresh oil, put injectors back in. Started no problem, and the oil never became murky or white with water. I thought for sure this this thing was going to need multiple oil changes, but the oil was fine.
ОтветитьI used your overhead method when I worked on my 671 on my rig, engine so deep in the frame and cab right next to it couldn't see any timing marks
ОтветитьThat hunk of u on the side of the rig is to carry rods on the rig.
ОтветитьI believe companion cylinders are in v block where two rods share one crank journal.
Ответитьlooked like a pain with the heat and all but i enjoyed it
ОтветитьBravo
ОтветитьZack when you get that rig fixed, it's going to be sweet .😊
ОтветитьThere is a reason it was abandoned in a field 😂
ОтветитьI currently own and have owned A LOT of Equipment over my 35 years in The Business.... I have had many similar Projects... I have the habit of buying a machine or piece of Heavy Equipment for the sole purpose to do 1 Job than it sits until it gets so full of Bees that I can't get within 50 feet of the daggone thing.... Haha!
ОтветитьI miss the days when you could stand in an engine compartment and work on the engine!
ОтветитьI can't wait to see what color you paint the old girl. Great vids Zach, keep them coming.
ОтветитьYou might be able to make a nice diesel powered marry go round for the neighborhood kids. When it's done what will it be and what color ya gonna paint it.
ОтветитьZach. When. you started it, You said, What was that. It sounded like the fan hitting the radiator shroud. Did you figure what that noise was ? Great Videos
ОтветитьHowdy Zach
ОтветитьIt might be the 1st time in my seven decades on planet Earth that I've seen a fella dump a 5 gallon bucket of water into an engine.... One just never quite knows what he's gonna see when tuning in to TheZachLife! ;) That ole blister don't sound half bad! Can't wait for more of this thing.
My experience in oil fields has been that the uglier the rig, the more valuable it is to the operation. I've seen rigs where both ends looked like stove up front ends and you honestly couldn't tell which end was which. But it worked!
Great video!
ОтветитьSince you are not pulling a Trailer the "Screaming" small cam should be more than enough HP to Go Anywhere, you probably will not be drilling in the Colorado Mountains!!! The next Spindle Top should be drilled in Texas Anyway!😊😊😊
ОтветитьLike your videos
ОтветитьThat hook is where you lay your swab lubricator
ОтветитьGreat content and even better tee shirt. 🤘🏻
ОтветитьWhen you first mentioned how difficult it was to get that one bolt in, I immediately thought to myself, three's enough haha!
ОтветитьWell, I doubt that the old guys that made money with that old thing ever put a blob of anything on it, that was there for looks. those old guys had a way of finding ways to make the job easier and quicker, and they weren't all that keen on a 107 degrees either. But they wanted to eat, so they made do with what ever they could cobble together to get the money, get the money.
ОтветитьThat thing is so ugly it's beautiful.
ОтветитьThat this is so ugly it's kinda beautiful
ОтветитьI would never flush an engine with water use diesel fuel
ОтветитьSo look get 80 ksi/ tensile wire, used for bridges and heavy machines. It is compatible with 70 ksi/ tensile. 80 wire is normally obtained with Rod but wire not so easy. Start there for safety 😊😊😊😊❤❤❤😊😊
ОтветитьAnother great video. These are very enjoyable and informative. Keep them coming.
Ответитьoh that ear busting turbo squeal that's sound so formilure
ОтветитьWell you started…..😂 now you gotta finish!
ОтветитьFirst time I’ve ever seen a bucket of water dumped in an engine on purpose.... sweeeet
ОтветитьHoly shit. Use diesel fuel. Not water
Ответитьthat might be an ugly piece of equipment but new isn't the answer that you can at least work on it easy
Ответить
