Love the lighting and shallow depth of field
ОтветитьSal good afternoon, excellent video, let me ask you, is it possible to use it even in the studio at low speeds and narrower apertures for portraits? like 1/60 f/5.6 and iso 200 for example or even f/11? say for beauty pictures? Hugs.
ОтветитьDid you mention shooting at 2.8 with iso at 200 with that big beautiful natural light coming from the street as fill?
ОтветитьThe camera loves this model
Ответитьgreat video.. but the music is driving me mad!
ОтветитьI broke down and ordered an eyelighter today.
ОтветитьStunning shots! Can you link the background you used? Thank you!
ОтветитьI really liked the shallow depth of field but the full length ones were amazing!
ОтветитьSmashed the like 👍!
ОтветитьHi Cool video what background did you use for the photoshoot
ОтветитьLove your energy Sal, thanks for all that you share. These are all great. I do love the last shot though. Shooting wide open looks great too!
ОтветитьSome You tube portrait photographers use shallow depth of field to silly extremes. The eyes are sharp, but the end of the nose and ears are out of focus. Or, the near eye is sharp and the far eye is clearly out of focus. Dumb. As a rule, I never shoot portraits wider than f.5, and usually at f.8. But that's me. * I do like the large soft light for some things. For the other extreme, I sometimes use speedlights with the small clip on diffusers or no diffusion. Depends.
ОтветитьGreat Video! Love it! Which Lightmeter do you use?
ОтветитьWhat kind of backdrop were you using?
Ответитьhow are you shooting at 1/200 my canon sync speed is 160 unless using high speed sync
Ответитьyou're always so upbeat!
ОтветитьWould there be a difference in softness if I used a large softbox with a deflector plate and diffusers with the flash outside (pointing towards the subject), vs a softbox with diffuser where the flash is inside the softbox (pointing away from the subject like in your video)? I'm having a hard time getting soft portraits with my 36" softbox and wanting to upgrade.
ОтветитьGreat vid, leeeearning, 1/200 f1.2 SO NO hss, how?!! my lights overpower at f1.4 at 1/250 with a 1200 octa with a baffle and front diffuser. I'd rather not have to use hss tbh.
ОтветитьAwesome porcelain tones. Awesome work!
ОтветитьLove the content Sal...Genuinely but how are you getting enough light on the backdrop?
ОтветитьExcellent!! So love your tutorials. I’ve improved already. Thanks 🙏 😘
ОтветитьI have a 7’ umbrella, but not a 7’ octa. Does the depth of octa really make that big of difference for type of images you made of Alyssa in the video?
ОтветитьHello Sal, I really enjoyed this tutorial. You have a very pop backdrop here. Could you share the link, please?
ОтветитьI love the music in this. I think the shallow depth of field with the large light source is beautiful! Really draws attentions to her eyes.
ОтветитьI preferred the first shots because of how her skin looked. Sal, ask your salon to tint your eyebrows light brown, your model knows what I'm talkin' about. You will be even more of a chic magnet. love u
Ответитьi just watched a couple of ur vids and the quality of ur work is insane! very well done...👌
ОтветитьAll Notifications turned on! Fantastic tutorial brother! I look forward to watch the Sekonic light meter tutorial! Rock on! 🤘🏻😎🤘🏻
ОтветитьThey were all gorgeous! I did love the 85mm. Alyssa is beautiful, the dress was amazing and the photos are stunning!
ОтветитьSal rockin another shoot! Thank you for sharing this and helping out all of us photographers. It means a great deal to the community.
ОтветитьBeautiful. I love your work and definitely make me want to step up my game. Question: what you recommend for tight space studios? Right now I shoot in my apartment and I usually having to shoot in spaces no wider that 6' for portraits.
Ответить非常棒的视频!希望看到更多
Ответитьlove every second of this, great work, lets get more of it !!!
ОтветитьI love overheadlight to work with!
ОтветитьHard to pick just one image, but I like the closeup of the face w 85 mm lens as this is what I like to do. But all three are top notch images.
ОтветитьI think all your shots with the different modifier were all soft ! and yes shooting it wide if lovely too.
Ответитьsal, was wondering I want to get your advice with Zeppelin 35 compared to an umbrella and JG Beauty dish or a beauty dish . I also shoot on locations. thank you
ОтветитьGreat portraits, beautiful light, loving this video! Could you please share the power of the lights and consider including that info in future videos? I always find that very helpful. Thank you!
ОтветитьHonestly loved all 3 sets. The 2nd set had a very Victorian feel to it and the lighting really made her skin look so soft and creamy. The last set was my fave (as I favor full body shots) and that dress...breathtaking! Alyssa is beyond gorgeous and an absolute natural.
ОтветитьI love it
ОтветитьGood shots and great lessons but obnoxious and distracting background music
ОтветитьThanks for sharing Sal...these are awesome!!!!
ОтветитьFirst of all, Alyssa is gorgeous!!! The photos are all so BEAUTIFUL! Question on the the last set up. Was the strip box pointed towards her and then off to the side but not really angled? (hope that even makes sense). these are so inspiring to do!!
ОтветитьAbsolutely Stunning! Thank you for continuing to make awesome videos and content!
Ответитьbeautiful work, I will have to try those out...
ОтветитьBeautiful model and beautiful shots! The outfit is pretty awesome. Where did you get it from? Enception Rentals? Love these types of videos!! Thank you both for taking the time out of your day to do this. I like the second set the best.
ОтветитьThe one with the Eyelighter was obviously our favorite ;) We love seeing you work, Sal!
ОтветитьThis was a great series of shots!!! Lots of info! I like when you just get to the point!! Keep the videos coming!!!
ОтветитьThe last full length photos think were my favorite, getting diffusers for my 7 ft Westcott brellas. This was good, to the point and fast! Nice job to the both of you. I love my Eye Lighter too.
ОтветитьStunning portraits bro!!!
ОтветитьLoved this. Thank you. Question: The outside light was pretty strong. Was the artificial light just overriding it???
