Trying to apply what she says after finding out that my husband of 18 years started having sex Jan 2023 with his first cousin's ex-girlfriend. Worse is that he looked me directly in the eyes in July 2023 when the lover told me that "all the sex" started in Jan (2023) that he did mot have sex with her. Then later when the evidence was blantant he told me, " I really do love you. I f-ed up." But then I
picked up his phone because he had left it one morning in Oct and there was a text from her- knocked the wind out of me. So she and i texted and she said that he had called her the night before saying how much he "missed her and thought about her all time." Again, he said that he wanted nothing to do with her any lonnger HOWVER I found out from her that he called her November 1, 2023 but she said she didn't respond because she wants "nothing to do with him. I believed his lies for a while but not anymore." I didn't forward him that text until last week. Right now I'm hanging at some friend's house trying to figure it out as I never would have thought he would cheat on me. We have so much fun together and a great sex life. The lover told me that 10 years ago he tried to come on to her even when she was dating his first cousin but she turned down his advances.
I'm meeting a friend tomorrow because I think I'm going to leave him. I've listened to this song OVER and OVER along with Anita Baker's "You'd Better Watch Yourself", Beyonce's "Irreplaceable" and Tracy Chapman's and Pavoratti's duo of "Baby, Can I Hold Tonight" that he sent me along with "Sorry" by Justin Bieber. His lover said that he told her that he cheated on me 10.years ago with a golfer "half his age" and another women, which he is still denying. I haven't told any of my close friends or family members because they all just love him. Tomorrow when I speak with a friend who hasn't met him then I'm going to discuss with her wherter I should tell my brother-in-law (his youngest brother) and his wife (my sister-in-law) that I'm thinking of leaving because I want to make sure my relationship with them will still stand as well as with my nieces and nephew because we're close and I don't want to have them out of my life. I don't think I'll tell them why- the affair. In August, when he didn't want to come to our niece's bday party, which we all had a great time, his brother was walking me to my car and said to me, "I don't know why you put up with his shit." When his brother said that, I thought maybe my husband had confessed about his infidelity but my guy said he hadn't. He did however confess to his best friend and my guy said to me, "You know what (name of his friend) said to me/him? He told me that I was a fool. That you (meaning me) really love you."

And I do but...I gotta "try to keep (my) head up to the sky...(be) bad, bold, wiser, hard, tough, stronger, cool, calm, gotta stay together"

I don't know if love will save the day??? 😢 SO I welcome any advice...

My mother passed away in 2021 she was 67 years old The first time I heard this song I was 9 years old I'm 33 now I've cried every single day this pain is unimaginable I don't know when it's ever going to end but it helps listening to this song cuz reminds me of her this was her favorite song and her favorite artist I would give anything just to hold here touch even smell my mother again when does the pain stop when do you get hope back how do you get out of the dark place
