I’m from Australia and I use it to hunt sambar deer and most of the time it drops them
Ответитьरेज कितना है कितने मिटर पर गोली जाती है
ОтветитьWow that's the same action as some anti tank artillery field guns
ОтветитьI bet that cartridge will Make your shoulder hurt 😂
ОтветитьHas it ever come out in 30.30 or 30 06
ОтветитьWhat’s the mm of that round it’s way bigger than a 7.62mm??
ОтветитьI was about ten years old the first time I shot at 375 h&h, my pop all got drunk one night with my dad and got me to shoot a 350 grain brass solid. My shoulder was never the same again
ОтветитьI've never fired anything bigger than a 450 Marlin, how does this compare as far as recoil?
This cartridge looks like it's definitely longer, however that doesn't necessarily mean there's more powder in it i guess 🤔🤷.
I think the 450 Marlin might be a lighter gun also.
So that's going to be a factor too.
I know one thing for sure wouldn't want anythin that kicks harder than the 450😆.
I have the same rifle in 458 Win mag. The ammo cost around 10 bucks a shot. 180 dollars for a box of ammo. They both kick about the same, 375 has alot better range. Everyone should have one big caliber rifle just for fun.
Ответить👍👍
ОтветитьMy one question is: for Africa, do I need anything more than .375 H&H MAG?
ОтветитьI have owned several of these Rugers, and the High Wall is vastly superior...
ОтветитьThe .375 can also chamber 38-55 which is a little less punishing.
ОтветитьRecoil depends on how strong you are. I shot some big calibers but I got strong grip and that helps. I will also state no matter what African laws say in most of Africa a 7 mm magnum a 30 06 a 300 Winchester Magnum will all work in Africa with shot placement well. A 44 magnum handgun can take anything with ease almost to with good shot placement.
ОтветитьThank you for another fantastic video team! Great rifle and amazing caliber.
Ответитьhold on tight !!!
ОтветитьNever shot anything with more recoil than a 45-70....which was just a few weeks ago.
Anyways, the jerk at the gun store said "Hey, if you want something with a tad more kick....I got this Ruger number 1".
I was like "oooh...what caliber"?
"Oh....it's in 458 Lott" he replied.
"I have heard of that, but don't really know anything about it". Was my response.
He then turned around and grabbed the only box of ammo he had and proceeded to pull a round out of the box.
My anxiety immediately went through the roof and I said "umm...no...I think I am too scared to shoot something like that".
2 days later I put it on layaway 🤦♂️.
I just picked up the exact gun a couple of weeks ago, haven’t shot it yet
ОтветитьPicked up a Ruger 1 stainless in 375 HH this weekend, compared to my 45-70 and 444 Marlin it was the easiest on my shoulder. But also the single shot weighs like 40lbs so it soaks it up.
Also, I would love to just ask Federal for a couple boxes of 375HH and just receive it. My jealousy runs deep!
I know I've been here before. But I still love that rifle, and especialy that 'safari caliber'. The romance of it.. i think i know exactly what you talked about. One of my favorite vids 👍
Greets, T.
Love the Ruger # 1. Wish I could have bought some of them back when they were available.
ОтветитьLol if John told a modern teacher that , child services and the swat team would be following up
ОтветитьI'm afraid to as k what the ammo sells for.
ОтветитьAnyone use the cal for long range?
Ответить6 years later the ledged still still lives!
ОтветитьOh my god my sympathy, I love Ruger number one, the most beautiful rifle ever made but the angle of the stock versus barrel makes it the most wicked kicking vehicle I've ever had. I bought a cheap Winchester model 70 that shoots extremely well but has a Bigger angle between the stock and barrel which allows it to rotate upwards at firing. It is very comfortable to shoot, feel like a 270. But the Ruger number one and even 300 mag is so brutal I could not imagine 375. Ruger number one is considerably and horrifically inaccurate by its very nature, Ruger messed up by the compression of the barrel on the forearm, you won't notice it with the heavy barrel vote with the light barrels you're going to get poor accuracy there are ways to fix this, do your research and see what works on your particular rifle if you have one of these beautiful pieces of equipment
ОтветитьWould like to see you shoot the water bucket at a distance
ОтветитьBuilt a .375 H&H from a "doughboy rifle" model of 1917.. turned out real nice.. really doesn't kick bad at all.. maybe a little more than a .30-06..
ОтветитьIs that the perfect choice for jackrabbit hunting?
ОтветитьOh hell
ОтветитьGreat gun.
ОтветитьId use the 375 if i were in Alaska Kodiak bear or polar bear BOOM
ОтветитьEasy to understand one shot, when a rhino is charging you! You BETTER make that round count! Don't know if you want to slow dance with a white African Rhino ys know! Lol
ОтветитьSTRONG MAN
ОтветитьSer quality iliki that gun perpect powerful I'm barrow your gun 🔫
ОтветитьThat rifle and the.375 round is bad ass!
ОтветитьSoon to be banned in canada.
ОтветитьI fired a 375 H+H one time. It wasn’t too bad but I flinched and missed the target.
I’m Canadian and the Ruger #1, a single shot, is being banned in Canada in all calibres as a military style assault weapon.
Our authoritarian leaning government wants to disarm vetted legal firearms owners. Meanwhile illegal, smuggled firearms flood the country and are readily available to gangs, criminals and on Indian reserves but the government is soft on crime so criminals with multiple offences walk free.
"acting like I was dear hunting" 😆yeah, I know that feeling
ОтветитьHow many rabbits will the 375 H&H go through?
ОтветитьCanadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has the Ruger number one on the list of guns to ban in Canada. This is a total gun grab and disarmament
Ответить6 years after thus video was made you can't get any falling block rifle for even close to a grand unless it's beat to dog piss
ОтветитьMuch appreciated vid
ОтветитьI shoot a sako AV chambered in .375h&h mag, not sure how old it is since it was my grandfathers
ОтветитьCome on ..shut up and shoot it already...hahaha..
What a powerhouse...wooo-weeee!.....learning to shoot heavy hitters is alot of fun..I shot a 338 O'Brian...its a tuned up ultra mag cartridge for moose ..that rifle actually rattled my brain..and made my eye sight jitter..soo much power
My dad used to think H&H standed for hard hitting we joked about it all the time after
ОтветитьThanks for the vid
ОтветитьI shot a .375 Ruger in Africa and I loved it. It shot very well and when shooting at game I never felt the recoil. Excellent
ОтветитьYou're kidding right?
