How to Organize ALL POKEMON in Pokemon Home

The maker should have just designed Pokémon Home to have the ability to sort in various ways…..

I'm starting work on this. I have every normal and shiny starter from gen 1-6, starting working on things with multiple formes (I have 12 flabebe), tons of legendaries, some of the shiny legendaries, etc. It's a HUGE task but we're getting there slowly lol.

If Palworld can have 'sort by' options in it's pal boxes. Pokemon could do it to if they cared but they don't.

Welp, I spent the last several hours organising the boxes for the complete living dex...Shame I missed out on the Hat Pikachus! Time to finally fill out that dex!!

What are the minimum amount of games to get to complete a living dex? So far i have black, scarlet(dlc included) , sun, and legends arceus.

Not me wanting to do a living dex. Realizing that Bank might shut down relatively soon. Grabbing my Gen3-Gen7 games and OH GAWD are they filled to the brim with everything under the sun. Across Pearl, Platinum, White, Black and White2 I have found at least 6 Dialga's, two of which were shinies. Not to mention the buttloads of fully evolved starters. I don't want to delete Zardon from my LeafGreen run from waaaaay back, but I also have a shiny Charizard from an event, there's the Charizard that I got in Y, the Mightiest Mark in Scarlet, etc. How the heck are we supposed to do this. 😂

And I haven't even started discussing the three dozen shiny Charmander I got through repeated CommunityDays in Pokemon Go. 😂

Hey, I am attempting a Final Form Dex, but the Final Form tab is missing a bunch of Pokemon...

I have a question. Imagine in the next game there is a new form of rattata. Would you add it at the end or would I have to move everything by one spot?

Is/Will there be a function to have a Living Form dex but the gender, regionals, etc. are seperated at the end from the normal mons?
As some people pointed out it will be a bit of a hell if future regionals will be added. Otherwise I love it

If you use this formula in the completion field it will count all other values than 1 as caught: "=1 - (COUNTIF(J2:J1090, 1) / COUNTA(J2:J1090))". This way you can count values like "SV' or "pogo" as if it were a 0.

Just give us a sort by dex number function, like ill take not being able to use my home while it sorts to do this.

I think its so stupid to include different versions of pokemon in your living dex. All you need is one of each version. It’s ridiculous

What I did to organize my LivingFormLite dex is I just had one of each Mon in National Dex order. No box breaks for Gen changes. Then this is followed by Regional Formes, and the (growing) Other Formes. Unown have their own box. Then I've got Shiny Pokémon, then any specially-"marked" non, as in Alphas, G-max, unique Tera types, etc. Then the dumping ground for any duplicates, with duplicate Legendaries set aside.

Can't organizing your boxes be a part of the paid feature of Home lol it's so tedious but so worth it. thank you for this!

Been had the Pokémon home dex and working on the shiny dex. Got all they way to Gen 5 so far. I feel you brother😂😂😂

idk if it is my google doc or not but when i tried to filter to only 1s in the it doesn't allow me to for some reason so i can only see 1s to see what pokemon i don't have but not allowing me to

Bird keeper Toby has the ultimate master dex. I did my a unique way. I did it in region order but whenever there was a variant or regional form I put it next to where the pokemon originally came from. For example alolan diglet and dugtrio will go right after kanto diglet and dugtrio. Even though it isn’t a regional form I’m going to put wigglet and wugtrio after them. Same for the paradox pokemon going next to their regular forms.

Currently working on my living form dex. I got all gender variations only ones accessible to me I need are alcremie and sinisteas antique form. Not sure how I’m gonna get pokeball vivilon or dada zarude. I had a hell of a time tracking down every vivilon and furfrou form.

My issue with mixing the regional forms into the list is that, even though it looks nice, when a new game comes out that has regional forms you then have to completely move everything in your Home boxes from that space onward. Otherwise, this is very nice.

EDIT - I guess breaking them up by generation does give you some slack in that final box. I thought of that right after sending this comment.

I wanna start my own Living dex but dont want to constantly pay for home premium.. Is it save to prepare everything in a/multiple games and then transfer everything within that 1 premium month?
My plan is to only buy premium once i wanna do changes/a new generation fully came out and completed the living dex for it
I heard all but 30 pokemon will be locked if you didn't pay for premium but can i regain access to them even after years of not paying?

Hey I was looking at the Google form and saw the Furfrou trims but I don’t think they retain their form in home I’ve also looked at Reddit posts and they say it doesn’t work with any game only USUM but that only lets the forms register into the home dex not retain in boxes

I’m not sure what video to make the comment on. But if you fly up to the crystal ball in the middle of the terrarium, there is a stellar shard, gold bottle cap, and ability patch. :)

what if i'm a creazy person and I want to get all male and female pkm,including alphas and gigantamax? is there any chance there will be some update that helps my mental illness? I know its a lot of work but I'm just asking (can't find anything close to what i need,your's is the closest one)

Thanks so much for this, made my life so much easier. As advice (dont know if it counts or not, but), I have caught some singular pokemons which are unobtainable, unless you cheat an old 2015 event in your 3DS, all through Pokemon GO, such as Genesect, Maloetta, Shaymin, Jiraichi, Celeby, etc.

Lastest version 1.3.1 screws my box from row 844 (Spewpa) to the end because older version row 844 is Scatterbug (other version ?)

if youre making a livingdex id reccomend putting them in pokedex order and just putting the extra forms like genders at the end of the region the form originated in.

I took this a little step forward and decided to put all the "families" together even if pre or post evolutions belonged to a following generation. For instance, I have Smoochum-Jynx-Elekid-Electabuzz-Electivire-Magby and so on. 😂

when trying to import an old version, in B3 it says ‘REF! spreadsheet not found’. it is not displaying as .xsl or whatever it is at the top of the page, both documents are saved as google docs. anyone know what i’m doing wrong? my old has displays the sprites, and the new one doesn’t - so i’d like either a fix for the non appearing sprites, or the importer issue. anyone able to help?

Yall should consider adding a non-form living dex. One form is enough for me. Not trying to reorganize everything after they release new forms.

how do i start keeping track of my game specific dexes? Like pokemon from pokemon go and bdsp, or sc/v? If i leave 1400 spaces at the start of my boxes for this, do I just start adding boxes for pokemon go etc and the other games? IDeally I wanted to try and get all pokemon from all games to complete their dex entries but i may give up.

Also does anyone have a list of what I need to get from pokemon bank era before that shuts down for good? I have my setup working and I transferred all my pokemon from crystal and gen 1 into pokemon bank and then transferred them into home.... But I am not sure which games I need to get which mon from before the bank stops working. Like are there any pokemon I NEED to get from crystal or ultra sun or I won't be able to get them once bank shuts down? cheers for all the hard work.

I have a living dex by national dex number, but more of a basic one. One of each pokemon. I also have every regional variant but I have those on special boxes named "Regional Variants", I have boxes for competitively trained, I have bxes for spares of each gen, boxes for spare legendaries for future trades and boxes for pokemon with hidden/dream abilities. I haven't bought the SV DLC yet so I'm still at 1010 mons. I'll add the rest when i buy the DLCs soonish.
