Sun already knew that the only way to stop all that suffering was to restart Moon and eliminate it, although it is very sad since Moon was practically only damaged by the virus, Sun was already tired, fighting against Moon and trying not to lose control against Cassie, or crying, begging for all this to end. Although Moon left, it was the best for both of them, although now Eclipse will have to be alone, who knows for how many years until it doesn't work... or is left waiting for children that will never come back. :(

I love how even just in their body language there's such a stark difference, both moon and sun tend to move in jerks or exaggerated motions that tend to come off as intimidating or at the very least odd, but Eclipse is almost demure in a way, with how they fold their hands along their chest and carefully carry you out, with the sort of intentional care you would want to use with a small child. I didn't even realize they were floating with the wire the first couple of times I watched because they moved so smoothly and carefully it looked like they were just walking normally. Despite their rough appearance, it's conveyed very clearly that they're a lot more tranquil and stable than their other personas.

Eclipse is maybe is the their brother of sun and moon because this is the mix of the two personalities of them

Seeing as how both the sun and moon have an eclipse form irl there could be a chance that they're is now 2 Eclipse's, Lunar Eclipse being the opposite of Moon and Solar Eclipse being the opposite of Sun. Since we see that Sun is energetic and nice while Moon being creepy and evil (maybe?) Solar Eclipse would be Sun's opposite who could be possibly evil while Lunar Eclipse would be the opposite lf Moon and is now caring like how we see in the video. Remember when we see Solar Eclipse in the arcade? Yeah, what if Solar Eclipse was a glitch in Sun's programm that made Sun hostile? And when they removed it, it affected Moon, when they removed it they couldn't wipe it so now it's in the arcade since they don't have anywhere else to put it. Now remember this is just a theory I have.

I’m literally obsessed with Eclipse. And not in a crush type way, don’t worry… that would be weird. But anyways, I just love how he’s like a mix of sun and moon. It’s even better because sun and moon are my favorite fnaf security breach characters and now they merged and now we have eclipse!!! I’m just… I’m obsessed. He’s perfect. I can’t get over him!!

Having a sane, fully functioning animatronic like Eclipse in the Pizzaplex is actually a really interesting concept. What's gonna happen to him now? Is he gonna clean up the daycare only for no kids to show up the next day? Then what'll he do? Is it possible he could clean up outside the daycare enough for people to notice and try to come back..? Does he know that all the other animatronics are (potentially) dead? If not, what would he do about it? So many questions!! I doubt the devs are gonna dive into this since I don't think he plays enough of a part in the overall story, but there's still a lot of potential there nonetheless.

Sun seemed really happy to be Eclipse, I'm assuming again because he said "we need to be whole again." It sounds like sun and moon were never supposed to be separated, but maybe the people in charge thought two was better or more fitting the nighttime and daytime theme? Either way it seems like sun and moon can exist in harmony as Eclipse without Afton's virus

So why did they never just reboot, sun and moon and activate eclipse. It’s clear Eclipse is kinder, and by the sound of things they are a much better daycare attendant then both sun and moon. So why did they just never activate them. It makes no sense.
