Is The Google Cybersecurity Professional Certificate Worth It?

I took sec + and basically bootcamped my studying, didn’t pay for courses or anything like that, just raw studied for the exam and passed! Now I’m taking the google cyber security course and it’s an absolute breeze compared to sec +.

I’ve done the first two courses in the span of 2 weeks, so I should be done by the end of the month with each course done. It’s fun so far and I’m enjoying it and I can’t wait to get in the working field to gain more experience.

Im touching up on the it support fundermentals which for me isnt so hard as i know most basics of it.

But is it best to learn CompTIA first then the cyber or other way around??

I’m currently taking the google cybersecurity course (3 out of 8 finished). There’s a 30% discount for the CompTIA Security+ exam after completion, but I’m hearing from people who’ve personally completed the CompTIA Security+, explaining that you absolutely need knowledge from previous CompTIA exams such as the A+ and Network+.

So my question I’m asking is if it’s even worth taking the CompTIA Security+ after completing Google’s Cybersecurity Course? Or should I take the prior CompTIA exams before taking the Security+ exam directly?

I am currently pursuing a BSc in Cyber Security. I want to know if it is mandatory to enroll in this course. I am a student and cannot afford the course. What should I do? Can you help me? What is the best option for me? I am also from a poor country.

The big thing with this is the affordability. Most of the other professional certifications are outrageously expensive.

No certification is 100% gonna get you a job it just helps a bit so yes this teaches you the fundamentals

What laptop should I buy for cybersecurity, that also is good for coding. I want an all rounder laptop where i will be able to explore all parts of development (Android , software, ai ml), cybersecurity. Also 3d modeling software like Blender. I've never done gaming before but can consider it. Please recommend a few laptops under or about INR 70K.

Certs are useless without working experience. Its the proverbial catch-22

I think it's worth it. I'm using it to prepare myself for the conptia security + exam. I can say it's been a big help. When I first took a Sec+ practice exam I scored incredibly low. After reaching the 5th course, I'm now scoring above 80% on practice exams.

The only problem is, NOBODY CARES ABOUT GOOGLE CERTS! Your money is better spend on CompTIA Certs

Currently working a dead end factory job that has some amazing benefits but work conditions suck and I will max out at $20.50 and hour been checking out these certs might get a few and start job hunting again for something better

I completed this certificate 3 days ago and now waiting for my first interview. YES, IT IS WORTH IT. But you must take other related courses to build your skills and feel more confident before joining the JOB market.

I would like to enroll in this soon. What sort of RAM will I need on a laptop to run this course? Will a Chromebook with 4 gigs of RAM be sufficient?

My plan is to take the courses finish it get an entry level job in that field for the experience and then once i get a few years in then i can look for a higher paying job with my experience with that company that's the goal what you guys think?

what would you suggest after completing this cert , i'm already in module-4 of course 3. Only theory so far.

Done with course 5 moving to next, you'll get to do some practical things in Linux and SQL course-4 , though they aren't too deep but i guess you'll get an idea of what can be done using those commands.
