ОтветитьThis was incredibly helpful 🙏🏽
ОтветитьUSB-c is inferior because the tong could get loose
ОтветитьI'd like to meet the idiots that design USB plugs and cables. I've been bitching about them since the "A' cable came out years ago.
Ответитьthanx dear ...good idea to use color
Ответитьyeh buying the wrong kind just cost me £3 on amazon lol.
ОтветитьIs there a lead that will allow phone to be charged while a external SSD attached to watch movies or backing phone up to SSD ?
Ответитьyou missed the different type USB type C ports on the phone or computer! They looks the same but they are NOT, For example USB Type-C 2.0 and USB Type-C 3.1 Gen1. USB Type-C 2.0 won't able to do display, not matter what cable you use. Then you have to find the right cable and then you hope it will work on your monitor port. Good Luck!
ОтветитьNicely explained
ОтветитьOne mistake at around 4minutes 10 seconds into the video:
As you said before, it was that any USB-C cable support a MINIMUM of 3 A, 6 Watts…not a maximum.
Shit this is 6 years old.
ОтветитьNice video but my Issue was not explained here. I need to play audio from my pixel 7 which has a type c port I need type c adapter to 3.5mm aux female to 3.5mm audio cable to use to play audio on my portable amplified speaker which only has an aux 3.5 mm input.
Ответитьthe worst thing is data leaking on the floor..
ОтветитьWatching this 6 years after it was posted. This video has aged well; the information is still relevant, and unfortunately, the mess surrounding all of these issues hasn't improved!
ОтветитьDude, after watching your videos, I am actually thinking of becoming an IT engineer instead of a doctor, because like you you tell a lot of things and like, yeah if you can encourage me to do IT stuff
Ответить...I have a headache now.... :(
ОтветитьQuestions do you have an updated version of usb c for "2022-2023"?
ОтветитьThe days when his videos didn't have "proper captions".
Ответитьwhat s with the stupid background noise?
ОтветитьSorry professor - My pen ran out of ink halfway through the lecture. I'm gonna fail "USB 201" 2 semesters in a row!😮
ОтветитьInformative AND hilarious post. I recall DECADES AGO, when Dell Computers hired an outside tech to look at their desktop pc manufacturing. That "external audit" discovered that DELL was using something like SIX DIFFERENT SIZED screws on its desktop chassis. Supposedly "engineers" are very logical and linear in their thinking. NOT!!! Generations of USB craziness shows how NOT rational all of the tech development truly is. THANK YOU for de-mystifying the latest goofiness — USB C, in all its kooky flavors.
ОтветитьWhat a robot.
ОтветитьBruh I found 1.1 usb-c cabels💀
ОтветитьThank you for such an interesting and informative video. I thought all USB-C cables were created equal and had no idea there were so many differences. In a perfect world, we shouldn't have to worry about using the correct USB-C cable if we simply use the cable supplied by the device manufacturer but for some reason those cables fail, especially when they get slammed in a car door or the wheels of an office desk chair continually roll over it. I'll definitely be taking a closer look at the specs before buying my next replacement.
ОтветитьSo type C USB Is A Smart USB Cable It Can Output Electricity And Control It I Mean When Charging XD
ОтветитьVery educational video. After seeing your video detailing about each USB, I must checking each cable I'd paid for USB-C but not realized the internal difference.
The real problematic by government not regulating USB standardizing- liked EU already implemented regulations which made Apple product must met EU compliances, before each product releasing into the market. These engineering became so laziness across the board. Simplicity always the best term for each product(s) released, but they prying so hard to be fancier and missing the step of simple.
You didn't discuss the one issue that burns my crackers: cables that only carry voltage for charging and have the data transfer function disabled. I've had issues with this aspect when trying to update my Garmin (tethered to my computer) and my recently acquired Note 9, which came with a cable and brick, won't 'talk' to my computer. Care to comment (anyone?). I sure hope my refurbished N960W isn't hobbled at the port! I don't want to use the Microsoft W11 'phone pairing' - don't want to give MS my phone details 😞
ОтветитьCalling USB C a finished device is like most things in the computer world, simply not true.
Computer devices are only designed enough to not kill most of the people using the product, just like medical devices, if it can return a profit higher than the lawsuits demanding damages its ready to ship to the unwary.
Every vid I watch is Quite Informative THANKYOU :) :)
Ответитьif you could stop making futile gestures with your hand it would be perfect
Ответитьнепонятно, но здОрово! (It's not clear, but it's great.)
ОтветитьThanks! Now I know why I am confused, and why I will continue to be confused. I have a box full of similar looking cables, and devices which don't like any of them.
Ответитьiiiiii havea aceriiichromebookmade in202. it has usbc ports i neeed to know what kkind uf usb c cable works on it
ОтветитьWhere can I get a cable-tester to tell me difference between USB-cabels?
Its so annoying when bring my portable monitor , and non of the cables I brought work with the monitor.
Did you know that the man who invented the USB plug has died.
At his funeral, they put his coffin into the ground, lifted it back out, turned it over, and put it back in again. 😁
Gonna have to watch this again! 😳 Oh and brilliant video btw!
ОтветитьIt's been more than 5 years since this video was released and the usb standard specs is only becoming more confusing.
ОтветитьAwesome video 👍
ОтветитьYou're Awesome!
ОтветитьI hate finger quote's
ОтветитьWell, that's what happens when one cable is to be used for everything and you get rid off all the ports and put a bunch USB C ports on the damn laptop, ah wait which laptop was it?
Edit: thanks for making this easier to understand, which was the idea of USB C itself but failed quite bad
OMG! I went shopping a long time ago. I’m 78 yrs old, and when I don’t understand something, (like my husband explaining why an automobile in a movie doesn’t make that sound, doesn’t explode that way, then goes into the most minute details of how an engine is built), I smile, and think about shopping while I nod my head and pretend to listen. So, when I realized I’m doing the same thing…can’t keep up…I went shopping. Thank you, though. I know you’re good and I’ve watched you before.
Ответитьmind sharing the usb C you have and how you use them?
ОтветитьAnd when you go to BEST BUY etc Their EXPERTS are just plain STUPID. WHY because anyone that understands all this stuff is too smart to be working at any of these places.
ОтветитьI am watching this video 5 years later
ОтветитьDear Sir,Thanks for the great guidance .
Sir,I have 2 Questions :
1 If I Use Samsung Galaxy 45 Watts Charger to give external power on 100 Watts USB Hub, will it work smoothly, and with out any problem ?
2. If external power is needed for USB Hub, Can I give Charge to it ,with my Mobile /Tablet charger itself,to which that hub is connected ? Thanks for expected reply.
Thank you for all your investigations. Great work :-)
ОтветитьOK, we are 5 years down the road since this video was published.
Has this situation improved or has it gotten worse?
