If nothing else, China's tech advances have forced the competitors to wake up and inspired to create and innovate to meet China's challenge for the top spot as the most advanced country in the world.
ОтветитьI’ve never got the allure of leather. I mean it has some legitimate purposes, but I have no need for a leather phone case. Simple, grippy silicone case all day.
ОтветитьReduce fillers words "Okay, for my second story of the week..." Just start! We have time stamps.
ОтветитьHonestly, I don't care about Panos moving to Amazon.
I always thought Microsoft devices weren't great. And i partly blamed Panos for it. Now let's see what Microsoft really does to fill the gap.
For surface laptop studio 2, while Microsoft is using Intel 13th gen and not 14th gen that is around the corner, this laptop is using Intel Movidius NPU accelerator on board, newest AI accelerator from Intel.
They demoed it in action at the event with Copilot coming to windows, it looks so snappy.
Configuration with RTX A2000 is also there. But my biggest complain is the battery only comes with ~56Whr.
Such a disappoinment for that price tag
I can’t wait
ОтветитьNever imagined I'll hear about NIO here
ОтветитьIntel 13th gen had intel 7 or 10nm+ node in it. Even a same processor would perform 20% better with intel 4 or 7nm node. Intel probably made a better decision Buisness wise but if they had new processors in it, it would have been a tough fight for AMD and AMD might have lost the first battle of the decade.
ОтветитьAnd let us not forget the biggest Apple innovation in years: USB C
How come nobody thought of such an ingenious connector before? 😛
I don't understand why Apple just can't use vegan leather.
ОтветитьSurface devices are massively overpriced but companies and even Gov departments lap them up so no wonder they don’t bother improving them much.
ОтветитьA man doesn't leave after 19 years at a company because "fresh blood" was needed in his department, something else has annoyed him enough to move to Amazon.
ОтветитьAlthough your content is nice and great
... but what it seems to be 20% advertising is cheap? Thankfully you do place it at the end so one can just stop the video there, but I wish the balance would be better.
Damn, that Ad transition was so smooth it's criminal.
ОтветитьNot sure how this meshes with the videos I've seen that claim first benchmarks are showing little performance gain over 13th gen.
Ответить❤
ОтветитьIntel 4 has same transistor density as tsmc 3nm and intel yield is 50% better than tsmc 3nm which clearly proved intel alreardy better than tsmc.
Tsmc 2nm in late 2026 or 2027.
Intel 20A/18A in 2024-2025 and intel has power via.
Intel has the best IO components but CPU design missed the train. No one has scalability or employee on call consistency to compete with TSMC. Americans have a problem repairing equipment in the middle of the night and on holidays. Intel will never be a TSMC.
Ответитьi always confuse you with vsauce with your thumbnails
ОтветитьApple 15 series are breaking left and right. Physically.
ОтветитьIntel its a mess...really dont think they are a company worth talking about as at forefront.
ОтветитьI honestly find that it's absolutely wild that the bad iPhone case article managed to become the number 1 trending article on a tech-focused website. Like, it's just an overpriced case, and we know Apple charges unhealthy costs for its accessories.
Ответитьamd has lap top chiplet cpus
ОтветитьI am actually very sad about Panos leaving Microsoft. While it is true, that Surface hadn't had a lot of innovation in the past couple of years (Only the Laptop studio which isn't widely popular), but Surface Pro is in my opinion the only All in one device on the market to do it all. My Surface Pro has been my daily driver for everything. It is a powerful device that i use for video editing, photo editing, university stuff, and just everything a poweruser uses. While it is portable enough to be an iPad alternative. Surely Windows still isn't as touch friendly as an iPad, but having one device for everything is something that barely any company did. To have the best of both worlds you need a MacBook Air + an iPad Pro. Both in their own category surely better than the surface in its seperate categories, but a lot to carry around... Love my Surface and Love what Panos did with Microsofts Hardware division. Hoped he will become the next Microsoft CEO. Thanks for everything!
ОтветитьGiven all the class action lawsuit against Apple that you never cover, there is nothing "usually" about this failure (it isn't a stumble).
ОтветитьIntel chips are back? OK 🤣
ОтветитьWe had to wait 38 years for transparent PNG support. The first 19 years just to wait for PNG to be invented.
ОтветитьChiplet approach for laptops, LOL?
Intel 4 can yield only ~1/4 of the total die size, the compute chiplet?
WINTEL was*(1) about a partnership of INTEL and only* MICROSOFT WINDOWS... that existed from about 1984 to 1995... Later Microsoft released Office to its competitor, Apple... At the cost of Internet Explorer being the browser on Apple branded devices. (Now, I know, Apple has boot camp and all that.) However, No such rivalry is currently possible... There are always tinkerers that will force their hardware to truly do what they want it to. (As they should!!)
ОтветитьYay ! Hopefully Panos can create a great consumer device division in meta
ОтветитьJd7
Ответитьbow that MS made a clean looking windows, they might want to make a bug free one x)
ОтветитьNow i repent buying the latest intel 13th gen laptop :(
Ответитьnice
ОтветитьIm hoping we get intel chips that finally gives us affordable alternatives that have the same efficiency and power of the apple sillicon.
Ответитьwith weak economy, price is everything
Ответить'Intel is back' ... yes, with MORE refreshes.
It's a continuation of the "+ + +" nonsense, that the brainless Intel fanboys can't get enough of, and unfortunately, that means for us sensible folks out here, we're still going to be expected to pay well over the odds.
The 10900K in my Maximus XII Apex, is perfectly fine for a solid 4K/60 and 1440/120 on ultra with maxed sliders.
My main gaming system is actuall a Crosshair VIII Extreme with a 5800X3D and i get a solid 4K/60 and 1440/120 on ultra with maxed sliders with that.
It's no longer the CPU, but rather the GPU that should be a focus for "upgrading".
I still strongly suspect that Intel has had to cannibalise some of their XEON chips to compete on the home desktop gaming market because of the brutal beating across the board AMD has been giving them.
The 14900K is simply Intel coping high on the glue now. Sorry, i meant copying AMD with the "glued" chiplets LOL
I suspect if i dragged out my old 6700K and slapped my 3090 into that, it'd be a perfectly fine gaming experience. So if you have a 9700K or even better 9900K, or 10900K, you don't need to upgrade at all. Focus on your GPU upgrade instead.
😁 I guess that Apple will buy Huawei's modem in the end. Huawei does't manufacture iOS so it shouldn't be Apple's competitor
ОтветитьWintel is a mini PC brand
ОтветитьHyundai: Hoho, Samsung, can you make me a car because I'm building a phone.
Samsung: Oh don't worry, we didn't think to make a car yet because we wanted to keep you in business.
As someone who has been burned by their shit laptop chips (almost literally) I am never buying their garbage products again.
Ответитьthey only hate qcom because they dont want them selling modems to cheaper and more value focus phones. apple is scum
ОтветитьIt ages since I turned over to iOS, but can these Chinese smart spy phones even go on Android market? 🤔
ОтветитьAny companies from China have obligations and can be forced to share data. And All needed sectors are getting third-party funding from China gov.
Ответитьi love Intel use it since 2008 without exception. 💙 not a single one died or gave major issues.
ОтветитьWhen a WiFi 7 access point gets to $200 or less I will consider it, but like WiFi 6E is plenty good for me, like Gigabit+ speeds are all I need for my laptop and phone and my desktop is going to be wired no matter how good WiFi is.
ОтветитьThanks for the vid
Ответитьnice copy of techlinked
