Dedicated Server Setup - Xbox/Playstation - Playing with Friends - Part 4

Anybody know how to run a dedicated server on ps4 and unlock all engrams without going to the other maps? We’re trying to run ragnarok but we want the abberation and genesis engrams but we’re not able to leave and get them.

I don’t understand the game sharing stuff. I own the game on ps4, I’m playing on ps5. So do I need to buy ps plus for that other account? If it’s a different profile how does choosing as primary do anything.

Okay but can I host a dedicated server from my pc and join on an Xbox account?? I did try but I can’t find the world on the Xbox account

Please tell my my friend gets “join failed” when I invite him to my Xbox dedicated server. My Xbox had an NAT type of strict before but I messed around with the port options and it went to open. Still the same problem and he couldn’t join. Weird thing is my girlfriend in the same household is able to join easily but not my friend.

Does the Xbox have to be running ARK for that server to be joinable? And is it the same with a PlayStation

Can you not use steamcmd to host it?

Hi there, the video is helpful to anyone starting a dedicated server I think. I did it the old fashioned way and trail and error! Lol, serious question though, I have a dedicated server setup on an xbox series x console and for some reason on crystal isles right now, I nor anyone else that joins the server can tame a crystal wyvern. They take one piece of taming food, a regular or prime crystal and then never get hungry again. They also seem to be losing hit point the entire time we lay on them during this pseudo taming process. So no matter how long we wait, whether on them, or waiting for them to land, they never ever accept another piece of crystal and thus always lose all taming percentage and revert back to zero. Has anyone else ever had this problem? Is there a way I can fix it? I've tried restarting the server, updating profiles, games, etc. I've even restarted and reset the console. No help. Any suggestions?

Studio WildCard has COMPLETELY gotten rid of the option to change your tether distance.
It is no longer an option, i dont know if this is true for pc.
But i have specifically installed this %#$@ game to play with my girlfriend.

Because i kept finding videos like this, giving me false hope that i could play together now finally (we didnt know that apparently we COULD HAVE before) but nope, they got rid of it only recently because they now have payed prvate servers.
Aka wrenching as much money out of people as possible, which considering im on minimum income. I CANNOT AFFORD TO BUY A DAMN PRIVATE SERVER JUST TO PLAY SPLIT SCREEN ON MY OWN DAMN XBOX. So thanx studio wildcard for ruining your game, thanx for wasting my time and my good mood. And above all else, im incredibely happy i didnt buy your ship game just to find out i cant even play it, the game was in the xbox game pass. But imagine that, being kn minimum income buying this ship game just to play with your girlfriend only on starting up to realize this can no longer be done and now you have to pay a monthly subscription cost just to play splitscreen on your own console. When this was working perfectly fine. All so the company can grind a little more money of its fanbase, disgusting.

Created a dedicated xbox server but i doesnt seem to show up in the session list. I can invite myself on my other xbox even friends and they are able to join the map and play but when they leave, it doesnt show up on their favorite list. The xbox running the server has an open NAT so not sure what the issue could be. I also restarted the server and tried changing the name but nothing works.

Hi, i have a PC and an Xbox. Could i possibly run the server on my Xbox and play on my PC?

I set this up with an Xbox but could only join through an invite from the account running the session. Couldn't find it in the server list no matter what filters I used. Joining the game of the Account running the server was blanked out so I always needed to invite everyone from the damn server. I wanted it so I could leave it on and people could join independently.

Did this recently change? Because I was going to host non dedicated from my pc and then play on Xbox. But I was able to host and play on Xbox s series.

I’m running the server on my PS4 which my account has no ps plus on since if you try using the same account on ps5 and PS4 it logs out for playing the same game. I can’t find the server anywhere which I’ve started

U full of sperm whale I did no such thing I host on my Xbox as I do on my Playstation app I also run dedicated servers I do not have 2 accounts unless you count my Xbox and ps4 shannagins u can't ark ps4 is ark ps4 as is Xbox u do not need two accounts u do however have to keep up box running for who ever joins relize u can not wander far its like 20 feet its crap join a server

So I hosted a server on my pc for my wife and i to play on our xbox ones. Everything works fine but when we log off, nothing is saved. Our characters go back to level 0 and we dont have anything saved. just the structures we built and our location. Can anyone help me?!?!?!
