There were a bunch of videos in the 2010s about flash photography, I'm surprised this dude made so many mistakes. SMH

I have a paid shoot next week and today finally bit the bullet on a Godox AD200Pro and soft box with a wireless trigger. Definitely going to set it up and test it before the day of, but these tips definitely made me feel more confident in reducing my chance of messing up. Thanks!

Mistakes:
1. Confusing overexposure with harsh light.

2. Thinking many lights = better photos

3. Thinking you need expensive lights for great results

4. Thinking that the lights need to be on full power.

Nice tips and not many photographers would be brave enough to show their early learning work.

I've been doing photography for over 12 years I change my set up a couple of times. Now I have a strobe for outdoor shoots and I use the sun as a secondary light source. For indoors you can get away with two speedlights. A second speedlight can be used to light up the background or separate the subject. That's it that's the way it's set up now and I'm pretty happy with it.

The first mistake you did is using USB Blue Yeti microphone , its a bad Chinese microphone , but they paid a lot in advertising so any time you type i want microphone , it pops up . I work on Audio , and i have got more complaints about that microphone then any else . One of my clients worked with Instruments , and it would clip , but it wasnt that loud , so i researched , and found it has problems with mid level sound , and that is probably where you get your noise , it cant even handle being spoken in to from close . So ... go get Behringer C3 bundled with interface , or Scarlet interface bundled with microphone , microphone stand if you need it , and you will get more control and richer sound . And if you want you can go Dynamic microphone , those are meant for speaking in to closely , and they dont pick up the room echo so much , but get the interface anyways .
It can work with dynamic or capacitive microphones . Sell the blue yeti .
