The archers in chivalry 2 are not half as annoying as in chivalry 1...

Good points. How I use them
Archer: Highly mobile projectile unit. Should prioritize long range engagement due to low health, may join melee only if absolutely needed (like irl)
Crossbowman: Pavise allows more stationary play, while being close support (banner), ideal unit when you want to shoot at enemies between teammates
Skirmisher: Close-mid range projectile unit with melee support, should prioritize enemy melee units over enemy archers

I think you should play more offensively. You are too far from battle. As an archer, yopu should help teammets on 1v1 battles in my opinion, not focus on other archers

LongBow Normal Bow Shot way harder than cross bow in real life LongBow s are for killing and Penetrate heavy Armor enemys like the knight , Cross bow is more a weapon for inflicting the enemy not nessasarly killing also the stick below the cross bows belemering the Arrow s launch force wat make the shot weaker and the hitt useless

Bit extra tip imo:
Learn to fight melee aswell, usually the other classes think archers are easy targets and they just blindly swing at you like complete idiots since you are an "easy kill".
There were times where i 4v1 killed heavier classes as an archer in melee just 'cuz of this. (i actually like to go close up as an archer sometimes)
It also helps a lot with team objectives, since you can block up paths and occupy a few enemies, or capture stuff etc.

The game keeps forcing me to play as the Ax man Everytime I die It won't let me be Archer unless I pick up someone's Bow

Archers whenever you are playing and you have a capture point you need to be close enough to be counted in the capture. I have played games where we have lost because there were too many archers not in the capture point and the enemy simply outnumbered us

the arrows in this game are aids, i literally cant hit shit with it. and i had to mod my skyrim because it has a range limit on arrows. so im not bad with a bow, the arrows are confirmed to be cancerous aids in THIS game.

For peak performance, pull out the cudger and destroy knights in 1v1

I find archery difficult on xbox. Shots often times trace right through a target with no hit

I prefer the longbow over the war bow, the war bow just has too much of a slow draw, the damage output is higher sure but not worth the slow draw.

I find the longbow allowing more arrows to be fired off adds more pressure and not only that but war bow only has 12 arrows compared to the longbows 20

The one thing an archer hates is another archer.

I love playing war bow, I prefer to be just behind the front line, I'm more than decent in melee combat, and I've found that if someone is charging you, two full draw shots and the bow special is enough to either get the frag or it will at least give you enough time to pull out your secondary weapon

As an Archer, you are legally obligated to make the enemy team have a really, really bad time.
