I like Tiger🐯
ОтветитьRead his book! "Tigers in the mud" a few details left out that youll find there. Especially the details on the Tigers reliability as well as the details on how IS-2s really were.
ОтветитьInteresting...
ОтветитьThey're plans excuted well, speed and surpise...
ОтветитьAll this effective fighting by the Germans and Germany was the only country suffering heavy bombing to the point of total destruction . The German people will and have seen my absolute respect.
ОтветитьThank you for the excellent video
ОтветитьI had the honor of knowing many people who fought in the eastern front, against the barbaric Soviet Russian communist! The local people supporting the Germans for liberate him from that evil!
Some truth, that is not told! The courage of these men is unbelievable! God bless all their souls
Good soldiers were on both sides, not all were criminals / Nazis.
ОтветитьI remember reading about this engagement in a book about Carius.
ОтветитьExcellent. Leaves you wanting to know more....
The Osprey Tank Duel books are great for this period of the war...
The IS-2's 122mm main cannon was kind of a ridiculous idea. It was a repurposed artillery gun fitted to a tank. the IS-2 could only carry about 30 shells and those shells required an additional powder charge, slowing down the rate of fire.
The german 88mm, soviet 85mm, and american 90mm cannons were repurposed Anti-Aircraft cannons with much great rates of fire, higher accuracy, and larger shell capacity.
This guys quoting greatest tank battles a lot. The Baltic campaign episode
ОтветитьMust've had plenty of pervitine to survive being shot seven times
ОтветитьRemarkBle leadership worthy of remarkable battle tank . Thoroughly engaging .
ОтветитьFun Fact:IS-2’s effectiveness as a tank destroyer was limited due to it’s very long reload and limited amount of ammunition. Most IS-2’s generally carried 20 HE(HE was effective against most German tanks but it had very poor accuracy)and 8 AP rounds combined with a firing rate of only 2(sometimes 3) rounds per minute.
Tigers always benefited from soft factors like ammo capacity, larger space for the crew which increased effectiveness the crew, much faster rate of firing, sharper optics and having one extra crew member compared to IS-2 which had only 4.
And then think Otto lived until 2015.
ОтветитьLegend has it that he had to use a Tiger tank because his balls wouldn't fit in a lesser tank.
ОтветитьDespite many "Experts",Historians,Scholars, etc say that The Tiger Tank a nonsense, over engineering,to Heavy,Bla,Bla...one thing is for sure, since i was a child and got into WW2 history,in every book i read at the time ( at that time internet wasnt even a word, like cell phones, etc) and still in WW2 documentary, film or magazines reviews, the Tiger Tank is always there in the front of everything else.
The Tiger become an Icon of WW2.
Its the most recognasible and famous Tank in history of warfare.
I wonder why...!!!! If it was so bad, according to English Experts.
Like in the Otto Carius book " Tigers in the mud", the Tiger with a good crew, and Specialy a good driver was an outstanding machine, you could drive it with 2 fingers,in Carius words. Power steering drive. For a tank that size 80 years ago,it was a real feat of engineering.
A very Powerfull one.
The Germans were always outnumbered but they fought like lions.
ОтветитьAwesome video!!
ОтветитьGreat music!
ОтветитьI like this German Tiger tank
ОтветитьWar thunder bias be like
ОтветитьWhy was the Documentary Greatest Tank Battles cancelled? They were doing a great job by telling tales of tank battles, but so many battles are left unspoken. Why did they cancel it?
ОтветитьEven to the end the hun still fought bravely,Sgt Willson .
ОтветитьWhat else but Tigers equipped Heavy Panzer Batallions?
Ответить".after the initial hesitation it occured to him immediately..." 😂 And what's a kubelwaygen? 😂
ОтветитьThe most savage tank battles in history...
Ответить... they still lost ...
ОтветитьHow about that, Russian tanks have always burned good.
ОтветитьIt’s amazing how effective this tank could be when it was in right hands.Even though it might not be exactly as tough as an IS-2(i’m talking about Tiger I)head to head it had much superior optics,a more accurate gun and a much faster reload making it much more effective for tank warfare.
ОтветитьWhy are you promoting the fascist armies ? Germany was annihilated by the Red army and the main mistake of the end of the war was that they did not dissolve the German federation into its constituent principalities and forbid it from uniting into a country ever again . We will all see the folly of that in the years to come
ОтветитьEven today, folks who don't know much about tanks will say Tiger or Sherman when asked to name a tank
ОтветитьRussian, villers bocage
Dang hollywood movies like Fury are fake 😔
ОтветитьWow, those tigers are very impressive, apparently panther and tigers were hard to drive, A lot of training needed 🤔
ОтветитьThe IS-2 tanks had to ELEVATE their gun tubes to load ( which brought the breech block of the main gun DOWN to facilitate the loading ).
You’re welcome….
Albert Kerscher rank was Oberfeldwebel which comparable to Master Sergeant.
ОтветитьThere is an episode of " Greatest tank battles " that highlights this encounter. Definitely worth watching.
Ответитьसंख्या से अधिक
ОтветитьImagine trying to repeat this in war thunder...
ОтветитьTigers in the Mud is a great book about Otto Carius and everything he went through in the war to even describe actions in an AAR style. A must read in my opinion.
Ответитьbut russians in all battles near Malinovo lost only 5 is-2 and 17 t-34.
ОтветитьI think it's quite telling that all postwar
and modern tanks tend to resemble
WWII German rather than allied designs
They have my respect even though my
own uncle was one of the many victims
of these superior designs
To see a company of Tiger Tanks Rolling over the steppe ..A sight not many would forget!
ОтветитьUsmc snipers were ln the. Same. Boat during vietnam
