I would have started with "git add" vs "git commit", but this is 👍

Thank u for this great tutorial. I have a question if my commit are in staging area. I am not sure if I explain this correctly but when I type git log it showed that the commit number my info but when I type git push origin master there is a message.
! [rejected] Master - >master(fetch first)
Error failed to push some refs. And also I have one commit before that one which is also cannot be pushed. Can u help me please?

Ok. This is actually good. Thank you. But I'm getting one problem here; after git pushing, and adding the remote and branch with username and password, I receive a fatal error saying, support for password authentication was removed on August 13, 2021. So probably there's a lot that's changed over the years. I require some help there.

Watching this (despite using git all the time) with a big smile on my face while coding in my amazing NVim setup. Getting started in it was filled with heartache and despair but now using a normal text editor is horrible.

The series is pretty good (and the idea to use text rather than code is great). But this session was messy: presenter wants to record in a single take, whatever happens?

How did you fix the problem in the end where you logged previously using a different username. I think I'm facing the same problem and not sure how to fix it.

maybe.. you guys know this.. but I'm experimenting with this Git... I tried with the word "master" when I do the push from my local machine to Github.. my terminal yelled at me.. saying "fatal...."

so, the reason is.. git changed the word "master" to "main".. the correct syntax should be

$ git push origin main

So, the very first step where he types ‘pwd’ and talks about getting where you want to be to clone, how do you do that lol? I have the directory open, but when I type that it just shows /Users/(my laptop’s name)

Can anyone help? "open . " mentioned in this video is not working on linux ubuntu - what should I be typing? I've googled and it says try xdg-open - but this doesn't work either. Also normal copy and paste doesn't work but you can press ctrl + shift and v and it does :)
