I love the way you analyze videos and review movies bcs there's a great depth in it. But this is just to kindly bring to your notice if u stumble upon my comment anytime... I have been wacthing reviews from you, jaby and our stupid reaction from quite few months and i am not speaking without analyzing things myself as I always try get into the thoughts of what you guys try to say in depth and I have keenly observed tht reactions from jaby do seek out for views but at the same time I have seen a humbleness in the approach and talking about osr they are completely based on love in filmmaking which is clear in some of their observations of movies like lunch box. Apart from them other foreign Channels mostly are based on views. But I felt u almost ranted at their channels at some spots randomly and to come to the conclusion tht its a hypocrisy by them I think u should reconsider it. I have gained a lot of knowledge about cinema from all three of you and I hope you do find my comment useful some day.

If you see black people listen to indian rap and some of them in the group like it and a few will find it crap , they might be giving it legit criticism , and the comments will be all these chapris trashing them for calling our rap garbage , this channel explains it perfectly what content our viewers want to see.

I used to wonder that if foreign reaction channels like jaby koay, our stupid reactions, and others really love indian movies then why don't they f*c***g learn hindi, telugu, tamil, kannada why?? Why don't they know any language of India even after watching indian cinema for 7-8 yrs. They should feel ashame of themselves. Today many people watch k dramas they love it and that's why they learn Korean language. Even when I watched money heist I loved it so much that I started learning Spanish. They are making their videos just for money and not because they love indian cinema. And we indians make excuse on why we binge watch them. We say oh they are like family they are like our friends and bla bla bla . We need to grow up from this and stop reacting to their videos we need to stop seeking seeking validation from them. When I want a review about Indian movies, I turn to your channel. Although I am a foreigner, who grew up in India with Indian movies and Indian music having been living there from the age of 2 until my mid-20s. I do have a genuine love for the things I grew up with unfortunately, in most of India's estimation l will always be in the category of foreigners who neither understand or relate to Indian culture, cinema or music. So there is no winning is there? I don't agree with foreigners reviewing Indian music and cinema because they are missing the context and the understanding and as you say, they are too afraid of insulting anyone to really say what they think. That does not necessarily mean that all foreigners are as daft as the ones who make those videos. But it doesn't really matter because at the end of the day, we are just all foreigners.

The fact is that India is the biggest market for people out there...
So they just come up with the new idea even if it is small content creators or big commercial cinemas to just influence our people. They want big profit from a big crowd by using our culture our content, our artist or our people.The calculation is simple if you have something that can influence India then you don't need any another place to sell it.

Jammy the thing about jaby and OSR are that they are genuine..watch their film reviews they openly say when they dislike a film like they did not enjoy padmaavat as much similarly OSR did not enjoy kgf 2 and jersey(except for SK's performance)..so it is not for validation it is just for another perspective..

This is a very interesting and nuanced take on reaction channels. While I am guilty of being a Jaby Koay follower since he had 5k subs, at that point, I thoroughly enjoyed his analysis, as it was similar to how me and my friend would analyze movies for fun. It definitely has progressed to provoke reactions among the audience & monetizing the need for validation. Living here in the US, the thought of seeking approval from white folks has definitely crossed my mind but is there more of it. This is my personal opinion and lived experience I am sharing: we have been so relentlessly invalidated by foreign cultures in social situations, that merely when foreigners praise our movies and food, we just admire them. I see this happening day in, day out but I do wonder, is it really our fault or just that capitalist societies in general know how to weaponize and monetize every aspect of human behavior (dating, socializing, etc). Would love to hear your thoughts after 2 years :)

If someone posts reaction videos to content that's hot because they can get a lot of likes then I'm sorry but what is wrong with that again?? That's a good strategy. And Audience' are' no fools. They'll watch what they find interesting. Many reaction channels post reactions that are fun to watch and add interesting view points. These channel owners are often smart and can analyse well, they can put sentences together brilliantly and bring their own experience with broader western cinema which helps Audience' with content discovery too. So again, why are we complaining?? Are we J? If a person is interesting, I would like to hear their opinion. Don't call their choice of content to react to as ' pandering to choices of audience'. They have developed a fan base and they know their fans would like it if they react to content close to fans hearts. What is wrong with that?

You and i grew up watching Irrfan Khan and Rishi Kapoor doesn't give us exclusive rights to comment on them nor does it take away anyone else's right to comment on them if they are not Indian. Internet has no boundaries or ownership. We find interesting people and we follow them, that's all! I like your videos as much as I like these other reaction videos. I like your videos not because you are an Indian or theirs because they are not Indians. Don't make it into US vs THEM argument. Audience' knows better so let them decide whom them want to watch. We have tremendous appetite for quality work and will lap it up wherever it comes from. Btw I have seen OSR post very controversial opinions too about popular stuff so I dunno where that argument of not being truthful is coming from. When you put this video up, I didn't realize how right you were. But after watching some of the shallow "content" from the reaction channels, I agree with you. Many of these reaction channel runners get very upset when someone questions them or their knowledge of Indian cinema
