To those who are having issues, particularly the 'code generation from strings disallowed for this context' error, make sure that your pastebin list is set to public and is not password protected. Hope that helps! You can still select whichever folder you would like as well just make sure the password box is not checked off.

rather than produce a random line from my pastebin, the bot just spits out the entire unedited code back into chat. what am i doing wrong?

hello, i tried using this and keep getting a Remote Server Returned Code 404. is this an issue on my end or with the code?

mine says " Code generation from strings disallowed for this context" when i do !nightbot what could be causing this. i checked for extra characters that might messs up code and nothiung.

Thanks for the tutorial! Is there a way to make a command that will add something to the list of potential responses?
eg: you have a command !joke that supplies a random joke.
If someone tells a funny joke in chat, you might have a command !addjoke where you can add that joke to the list

That command is so useful. Thank you for the tutorial. I do have one question though. While I can work around sentence structure with the "," in the code between "user" and the "pulled quote" from Pastebin for most of my commands like !lurk and !unlurk. it appears when I try to remove the comma between $(user) and $(eval a=$(urlfetch it breaks the code as I am getting a "[Error Connecting To WebEval Service]". Is there a way to fix this? or would you know what is causing the code to give back such an error?

I've been using this command with my nightbot for a bit and I keep getting an error randomly when using it. Sometimes, nightbot will output "[Error Connecting To WebEval Service]" instead of my pastebin lines. I was testing to see if there were individual lines that caused the issue but it seems any line from my list, both working and not working, will pop this error up.

Thanks for the help! But I got a problem with this command, I added 40 different things but only the same 5 always come up, do you have any idea why that is?

For some reason the code was giving me errors. I ended up changing the quotations (") to backtick (`) and got it working.
