We can never go back to that time. The friends, the glory, but we can cherish the fact that at one time, this was all that mattered. And look upon that time with pride.
If you came here like we all did then I salute you my friend.

ОтветитьI remember being so excited when I went from a 32mb video card to 128mb so I could finally buy this game that I would always see in the computer game section of the store. I never did get past the desert area
ОтветитьJust got my god walking amonst mere mortals after just 17 years.
ОтветитьGuild wars 1 still today the best pvp mmo in history. Never found a game with that much plurality in terms of modes (gvg, hoh etc) and in gameplay (unlimited build options and set up). So many memories still today. The spike on TS, the rush, the GvG weekends etc.
ОтветитьI can honestly say this was the first game i played in my life. I cant remember when but long ago my dad showed me the game and i loved it. Later i enjoyed sequel of GW. This theme is so nostalgic to me that as soon as i heard it i'm reminding myself of playing Guild Wars after school and my old friends and times that will never come back
ОтветитьBest Game forever ♥
ОтветитьI think the maker of GW new something about our world, it must be otherwise how it would have touch many of us?
Ответитьhome sweet home
ОтветитьThis music is the bomb diggity
Ответитьnothing in my life will ever hit my soul as much as that opening theme
Ответитьthis game had the best PVP in any mmo i ever played
ОтветитьGW1 had something I really miss in GW2 ... its just not the same for me.
Ответитьtrop bien
ОтветитьI'm really glad Arenanet keeps up with the GW severs always fun to go back and replay the game.
ОтветитьSo many years later.. I still relish this soundtrack collection. Great stuff!
Ответитьperfetto per studiare

Ответить2005 -
step brother: come play world of warcraft
me playing guild wars for the first time -
me: no
I take pride in knowing almost every run in guild wars. No other game mechanic has come close to being as fun as running in other games.
My character has seen the whole world. Ran barefoot through deserts, exhaled misty breaths through the unforgiving Shiverpeaks, guided the lost through Cantha, mystified the curious in the Desolate Wastes, sought passage amongst the Eye of the North's heat ridden and dangerous jungles, ferried the impatient and rich to foreign continents, fought bravely for those seeking relinquishment from the Great Destroyer, Lich, Shiro, and Abaddon.

(((Comment I made ~5 years earlier, and just wanted to keep track of it better. I still feel this)))
The summer Guild Wars Prophecies was released i installed the game on a beautiful day in Saarbrücken, Saarland, Germany. I had the big window wide open behind me, a warm early summer breeze brushed against me and i started my journey to Ascalon. i will never forget the beautiful moments this masterpiece gave me. the soundtrack is, in my opinion, still unmatched to this very day. thank you for this adventure that even kept me away from world of warcraft for several months!
Ответитьthey dont make games like this anymore. no politics no real life junk in your game. just a good story and good atmosphere.
no dlc no loot crates no bullshit.
I was heavy into WoW when this came out, but I always returned to it for its music. I wish this music was available on spotify. Does anyone know why it's not?
Ответить7 hours of bliss? i remember listening to the cd that came with the box set of the game
Ответитьi wish all the guild wars player could revive this experience again together
ОтветитьOnly played GW2 and listened to thing just by curiosity. I think most of my favorite tracks from GW2 come from the first set of games now.
ОтветитьThis soundtrack still brings tears to my eyes. A whole beautiful world in that game. It's a shame most won't be able to experience it as we have. Congratulations to all who are here. I'm sure you had wonderful adventures you keep near and dear to you
ОтветитьOne of the best gaming experiences ever. I loved exploring the world, meeting up with people... what a great set of memories associated with this music.
ОтветитьFor Ascalon, which lives on in our memories
Ответить
ОтветитьI was 7 when I first started playing this game. It truly was the most amazing gaming experience I’ve ever had in my life. This game and this soundtrack has such a special place in my heart.
ОтветитьSo much nostalgia. My buddy and i are about to try Guild Wars 2. Im suprised how many active players it has to this day. Stoked
Ответить{.|.};;>.><
ОтветитьI miss this game dearly. I think it was better than GW2 and most other games I've ever played. Fortunately, while the game is past and gone, I can still enjoy the majestic music. I listen to it at work and while playing D&D, and it was on my playlist of background music all throughout college.
ОтветитьI have a vivid memory of a guild member coming up to me during our weekly guild meeting and asking me, warrior to warrior, how I got such cool armor. At that time I was 15 years old and an officer in a guild of a 100 people and also the guild runner. I told him if he learned to do runs he could also make enough money to buy any gear he wanted. Maybe 4 years later this same guy was giving me the resources and builds to become GWAAM like he had already done on 2 characters. Crazy to think I'm 30 years old now and basically lived a whole other life in this fantastic fantasy world. Shout out to my first and favorite Guild: Angels of Might and Magic. Many of those guys are in there 40s-50s now. It's so hard for me to wrap my mind around. I even miss the days, when the game was slowly losing steam, where all of my old friends would at least get on for the holiday events.
ОтветитьSo I am going for a Droknar run, who wants to join ?
Ответитьnostalgia hittin different
ОтветитьI know for a fact that many of us will remember our youth as playing this game with our guild member friends. And the feeling of playing through Prophecies for the first time.... experiencing everything for the first time. Getting 15k armors. Failing at thunderhead keep because the dwarf dies :') I will remember it and listen to this music until the day I die.
ОтветитьWarrior monk gryphon farming ^^
