Looking forward to jumping into resolve. Premiere is so badly organised and you really do need a seperate monitor for tracks however nodes scare the crap out of me.

switching to Davinci was the best choice I ever took, smooth playbacks no need for proxies, has more than enough tools, more tools then adobe, DOESN'T CRASH, auto save no problem, can do motion graphics, amazing. and FREE

I love DaVinci but have been requested to work on Premiere for some clients and felt like I was losing my mind with all the bugs. Thank you, this video is incredibly validating.

quick question though, can da vinci resolve do anything premier can do? like multi cam sequnces, audio effects, masking, keyframing, proxies,stabolization, text animations like mogrt files and other stuff. if i want to try da vinci , will i be able to do the same things i could do with premier?

thinking of making the shift to da vinci resolve because of the pricing structure, premier pro seems tooooooooooooooooo much expensive to me considering i'm an individual. recently found out that da vicni resolve is free and even if we want to upgrade, only 295usd for lifetime, i'm not sure why adobe wont follow this price structure. or maybe some cheap subscription so everyone could afford it rahter than thinking of ways to shift towards cheaper software. i certainly hope that da vinci resolve would be able to satisfy me in case of my editing workflow

Everything is so much more complicated in davinci. This davinci vs Premiere thing seems more about what you're used to then anything else.

Why do I loose some of my video clips in davinci if I don't use davinci for a few months? This is crazy! It says media is offline. What does that mean? I'm online.

Hey QAZ & Co - anyone know how to manually point to RAW originals when you made homemade proxies outside of resolve?

This happened to me because I had issues with Resolve’s proxies, so I transcoded in CineX and then started working with those straight away. I’m sure I can be faulted for this workflow.

HOWEVER - Premiere can solve this (and saved my ass) with unlink/relink media and custom checkbox options for media name/suffix/etc.

Can Resolve really still NOT do this? Hopefully I’m missing something.
