try do 15 airsquats every 20 min throughout the day. its amazing.
ОтветитьIn my opinion, people misjudge these and their intention. Specifically, most people mention Indian wrestlers using them, but haven't got the slightest idea of Indian wrestling. So here's the thing: look at how Indian wrestlers do leg attacks in the mud pit - it's the exact same movement pattern. You can't do a shot in loose sand, you have to do a squat. Similarly, the dand ("Hindu push-up") mimics defense (sprawl and parterre defense) in the sand. That means that for the mud wrestler, these are first and foremost technical drills. That makes sense, since athletes in all sports will spend a lot of time on technical drills. On the other hand, the Indian wrestlers in the Olympic styles don't do crazy volumes of either dands or bethaks. First of all, they don't work for them: you don't move like that on a mat. Second, while mud matches are open-end, mat matches are six minutes, therefore higher pace. Third, Indian wrestlers are either heavyweights or striving to be heavyweights. Interestingly enough, heavyweights are the weakest wrestlers in relation to their bodyweight, meaning they have the lowest relative (but the highest absolute) strength. Therefore, they can be challenged by simple exercises, which may not be enough for a middle- or lightweight. That's why you see heavyweights doing normal push-uos, and lightweights doing one arm push-ups. Fourth, they were never meant to be used in the way people advertise them nowadays, as stand-alone training for whatever. They were part of a system, and meant to be used as such. And finally, Sushil Kumar's coach wrote that they had a history of joint degredation with these kinds of volumes, which is easy to believe. The wrestlers on the Olympic team do barbell and partner squats, dips and work with rubber bands. In other words, they copy the successful teams of other nations in their training.
So in short: Bethaks / Hindu squats are a good exercise, if you are a heavyweight mud wrestler. For everything else, there are better alternatives. Still, if you choose to do bethaks and dands, it makes sense to research how they were used originally. Internet folklore is rarely ever complete...
Motion is lotion
ОтветитьTHO i would suggest to also care for the knees with kneesovertoesguy videos help

ОтветитьI used to race bicycles. I was a not bad amateur. A much older cyclist told me that he used to use the exercises shown to improve his cycling. For some thirty five years I’ve used the exercises and it may not have won me any races but avoided me from injury. It exercises the full range of the muscles, not the middle bit used for pedalling, so it is all strong.
ОтветитьHow should I build up to the deep knee bend? What progression should I follow, considering I have terrible knee problems and have never done this in my life? I'm not sure what's a good rep range to aim for as I'm just starting. Thanks!
Ответитьyadayada
ОтветитьMuslims do this movement everyday when we pray, along with other beneficial movements. Alhamdulillah Allah is the Almighty All Wise.

ОтветитьTurned 44 yesterday December 27th, and i will make these a daily. Thanks bro! Have a safe and Happy New Year.
ОтветитьBe good if your framing included the important heel lift?
ОтветитьYou cropped the feet off when the foot position is supposed to be the main difference to a squat.
ОтветитьI do 100 BW squats + as many jump squats I can in a row as part of my warmup before rock climbing. Really gets the blood flow going and keeps my legs in order.
ОтветитьYes why would you show the feet so we can see how the exercise is done?
ОтветитьALSO when you are tall you get into the habit of flaring your knees + pointing your toes outwards which is BAD for your hips and will can to hip problems in old age. Keep your feet pointed straight forward
Ответитьmy knees pop alot when doing this exercise, it also hurts a bit? im 21 yo. what could it be?
Ответитьmy knees pop alot when doing this exercise, it also hurts a bit? im 21 yo. what could it be?

ОтветитьI’m 47 and my knees hurt just looking at this
ОтветитьI started training for combat sports and i also play some cricket too, so i have to do running in both the sports, but from last couple of weeks, I am feeling pain in my inner left shin bone. How to fix that?
ОтветитьIt looks pretty hard on the knees, does it wear them down much?
Ответитьhow exactly does this increase stamina. Can't see its correlation with improving long distance running tbh
ОтветитьHello, I like the exercise and video. I was just wondering how good this is purely for stamina? Like can I get away with just this exercise for cardio to get more fit?
ОтветитьAnd we can't see the knees...
ОтветитьOMG, no fancy movements yet very effective. Gotta start this tomorrow, sir. Thanks for the advice
ОтветитьCut off the video at your ankles cane see the whole body doing the full. Range of motion
ОтветитьIs there a reason you arent straightening the legs fully and pulling your body straight or is that just oversight? You never fully extend your legs. That means you are avoiding glute+quad gains that you would otherwise get and also arent going to help your posture.
ОтветитьYou're doing it wrong.
ОтветитьThanks for this! Ummm . . . I'd like to see the demonstrator's feet, please.
Ответитьso how long can you sprint for?
ОтветитьThe knee bend exercise is actually called "baithak" in Hindi,I used to do 500 in a single go while my teacher in the akhada(Indian mud gym) went for 2000.U could even do a variation of this called "sapate" or "sarangi" which is a burpee with the baithak added, elevates stamina to new heights.
ОтветитьThis man has no calves.
ОтветитьAntegrade people all have a similar look, eh..
ОтветитьI love this
ОтветитьPerfect.
ОтветитьI thought you weren't supposed to extend your knees past your toes as it can damage them?
ОтветитьIt’s just a knee over toes squat man calm down
ОтветитьWhat is your opinion on pistol squats? How would you weight the two options?
ОтветитьSure. I'm 62. I can still do it unlike several people my age-group.
ОтветитьIll start now
ОтветитьCan we use weight in this excercise or just bodyweight
Ответитьfilm your full body next time 👍
ОтветитьWill such high reps decrease explosive power overtime?
ОтветитьDkb's
ОтветитьFor building stamina there is nothing better than burpees. They incorporate the core, squats, pushups all in one excercise.
