I thought it was a parody to begin with. Their reactions make no sense, their sense of calm and actions are completly off which makes you think you are watching some sort of satire, but no, its just done that way.

Its not a problem with the acting (although it could be better), it just looks sooo superficial and like it was made by people who have never experienced human emotions of shock, fear, urgency or anything.
I get feeling curiosity but the way its done makes the characters look idiotic

This film is definitely made by a racist, the black man is portrayed as funny, stupid and useless like in many films

When I read some of the comments here, I really wonder what kind of B-movies these people are used to watching, sorry if I offend anyone!
I bought the movie and watched it. (we don't have Netfix, so buying was the only option)
And as a film fan I was really disappointed. What a waste of time and money.
The special effects are a joke, and the acting is more like something out of a local soap TV broadcast.
I don't understand how you can take on such a hell of a story and film epic with little budget and knowledge of film making, that is a lost cause from the start.
If only the maker hadn't started it.
This kind of rubbish puts the theme and title in a bad light.

I actually enjoyed the British 3-part miniseries in 2019 as well, since it was set in a time period closer to when H.G. Well's book was released in 1898.

This movie does copy a lot of Spielberg’s WOTW concepts, but for a low budget knockoff, I have to say I enjoyed it. Is it a great movie? No. But it’s definitely good enough to entertain me on a Wednesday night, and I’m content with my choice.

Great Movie! This Movie is a combination of the 1953 and 2005 War of the Worlds Movies. The 2005 Version of the Movie did not explain clearly how the aliens were defeated whereas the 1953 version clearly explained how the aliens were defeated. This Movie did a very good job in how the aliens were defeated. I will need to check out the other War of the Worlds versions.

That CGI - even Asylum would be embarrassed.....
