What about chapter 7 and 8?

Humans are ‘trapped’ in sin ? You guys kinda soft peddled the sun part. 1,2&3 seem to use more aggressive terms regarding human will and the sin problem.

I find It is helpful in summary when reading the Bible to know that in Christianity there are only two kingdoms therefore two citizenships. All people are natural born citizens of the kingdom of sin and death, no one is a natural born citizen of the kingdom of God (and there are no dual citizenships). Imputed righteousness through faith in Jesus is the only path to citizenship into the kingdom of God. It’s actually that simple. The writings are full of juxtapositions explaining more of the details about this scenario but that’s really what it is all about. Of course not everyone is called to be a citizen of Gods kingdom so they never have saving faith and even those who have saving faith are still weak to the temptations surrounding them(us) that a good citizen of the kingdom of God would avoid. So being a good citizen we help each other out because we want to out of love for God and each other.

It seems to me that Paul introduced two concepts that Jesus never taught or at least never emphasized. That is GUILT and PUNISHMENT instead of WAYWARDNESS and SUFFERING. Jesus never said I came to serve the guilty. He said I came to serve the poor and the lost and the blind. He never said I will take on the world’s punishment. He said I will take on and overcome the world’s evil. The source of man’s problem was being unable to stop listening to evil and overcome its infiltration into our hearts and mind. We were not in need of punishment we were in need of rescuing.

Reading letters that are 2000 years old from Paul about the beginning of the Christian Church is amazing

i came to his Romans overview to see if this kid, young.. feminine man (who loves the Abomination of homosexuality) speaks on what Paul directly says about men lying with men, because they are Turned Over to Their Sin by God.
i have heard so many of these and thought, this young man is doing great -WOE. i see him on stage now, as if at a concert, professing that homosexuals are pleasing to GOD. WOE. NO.

I love how the explanation is simplified for Bible dummies like me. Reading The Bible can be confusing and frustrating trying to figure out what is being said seems like you have to be a scholar to really understand. It's hard to place yourself back in those times but it helps to do that - I got a head start because I am very familiar with ancient Roman history - very interesting!

Here’s the good thing. These animations are intriguing and people are going to watch them and then we are HOPEFUL they will actually READ the texts in the Bible. IF they do, then it is our HOPE that they will see TRUTH.

It has recently come to my attention that Tim Mackey is teaching untruths (example: hell is man made, gay is ok). I pray people will actually read the Bible. If they do, they will see that is not what the Bible teaches.

Ok, this was helpful. I was getting bogged down on all the talk of "the Law" and I wasn't sure what Law he was talking about. Jewish law or the New commandments. Obviously, by your commentary, I see he was speaking of Jewish law.

So thing is that Abraham didn’t have radical faith, he had two sons. Ishmael born from his own decision and doubt in God with the slave Hagar and later Isaac born from Sarah. The family jealousy and feud has lasted for centuries. Abraham may be the father of the Jewish people but the family was dysfunctional from the start. I can see why Paul was drummed out of town for this because it would have triggered a lot of people.
