TROUBLE! Stranded on Afghanistan border!

We've made it this far, but have we learnt the lessons of the previous week?
Follow us in this thrilling adventure as we depart from the coldest village in all of Central Asia en route to the glorious Wakhan Valley carved out over 100 years ago by the intrigue of the Russian and British empires during the Great Game!

The lands here are a comparative paradise when coming from Tajikistan's Eastern Pamirs: verdant, lush, well-watered by the mighty Panj, and brimming with vistas so splendid as to break your heart! The people of the Wakhan Valley are a treasure in and of themselves: relatively isolated for centuries, their language, customs, and physical appearance may surprise you. ;-)
Their hospitality and outlook on life certainly will!

BUT, to experience all this, we have to arrive.
And our arrival, my friends, has been placed in sudden peril...
