Razer NAILED IT - BlackShark V2 and V2 X Gaming Headset Review

Glad I bought it from Bestbuy. RETURNING THIS HEADSET (Razer BS V2 X). Why? Everyone sounds muffled. Sounds in game sound muffled. The audio quality is horrible!

The microphone picks up everything, and with TeamSpeak noise cancelling doesn't help.

I've used this with my Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 4th generation and that studio quality audio interface didn't help the microphone nor the headset audio!

It also is made for small heads and you can't adjust it! I couldn't adjust it for my big head. It's probably made for children?

The ear pieces are like putting 🔥🔥🔥 on your ears!! It's like you could use these in freezing temperatures outside and they would be perfect for that.

I own the Cougar Phontum S (i bought them in 2018 for 70USD, final price included shipping) and i got the Blackshark V2 X one week ago for 65Euros (final price included shipping). Literally they feel cheap, nothing special with the sound, my phontum S headset overal sounds better, the bass is overexposed u need to tune it with EQ, and the mic is a midrage mic for that kind of money. So nothing special. Dont get me wrong. I do not mean that it is for the trash, but overal not worth the price. If u can find it at 30-35max it is a good deal. For 45+shipping its a no

It's a bit weird that the mic sounds worse with the USB sound card. Any way to fix that, or do you have access to all the features even if you bypass the USB? Does THX still work, for example?

I have the Blackshark v2 pro and have had nothing but problems. constantly disconnect and reconnecting to synapse. constantly beeping connect disconnect. firmware is updated to latest. same for synapse. uninstalled reinstalled drivers same issue. researched and its a known issue. returning it ASAP. on good points feels great on head and good sound not great. removeable mic is nice. very light.

SteelSeries Arctis Nova 3 or Razer BlackShark V2 X ?

Never could get the V2X to work in gameplay. Couldn't update drivers because Razer's updater software had the "NEXT" button permanently grayed out. Glad it worked for you, but it's complete junk for me.

I bought these when my bose qc45's wore out and could not have been more dissapointed with my purchase. Anyone suggesting those headphones is either a razer fanboi /shill or some razer employee, I don't see any possibility where a real person could be happy with them. The sides are way to bulky with no added benefit to it, the sound knob on the side tanks the audio quality when touching it and often stays bad if I don't adjust it again. They have bad ventilation, ears get really warm, and generally very uncomfortable to wear for long periods. I basicly hate everything about it besides having comparable audio quality to my q45's when the knob is set right to not give the static. I haven't gotten the feeling of being robbed by purchasing something in a long time, with these headphones I sure did, they belong in the depths of the garbage can.

These are TERRIBLE for FPS out of the box for XBOX!!!! ... BUYERS BEWARE... there is no directional audio out of the box at all if you play FPS games. Whether action is left, right, behind, or above everything sounds the same. You can't tell where anyone is at all unless you see them. If anyone knows how to fix this without using a computer please share!

How do we plug the microphone directly into the motherboard? Do you mean to plug the microphone in without using the USB cable? I tried that and wasn't able to hear myself. Is there a way to be able to hear through the headphones while getting that motherboard mic sound? The USB sound card for this headset mic is honestly bad.

If I just plug the headset in without using the USB soundcard, would it automatically install Synapse or any drivers?

I pulled the trigger on the V2s. My mate tried to get me to get whatever Logitech has at this price point but just by virtue of being on sale when I needed new stuff, I have a Blackwidow and a Basilisk, so obviously the headset had to be Razer as well.

I used to despise Razer,. Overpriced and overdesigned. The new design language is way better, it shows that Razer have matured.
