Excellent interview!
ОтветитьThis guy worked for some pretty reprehensible people. Good to know what he knows, but I wouldn’t give him too much credit.
Don’t get me wrong, so did I. And I also deserve extra scrutiny.
What fantastic propaganda. But then again you are Americans.
ОтветитьWonderful show
ОтветитьThanks guys and thank you Ambassador Sullivan.
ОтветитьIs Sullivan sending his kids or grandkids into the trenches or god forbid fight himself? Love these hawks 😂
ОтветитьConviction is what we live by. No conviction is what we die by.
ОтветитьWow. Thanks, all.
Ответитьrussia isn’t very important anymore but clearly has big problems accepting that. Just because you used to beat up all your neighbours doesn’t mean you have the right to do it all over again because you feel insecure or have a low self esteem. Times change, nations rise and fall. russians needs to accept that they are just one nation amongst many and there is nothing exceptional about them.
ОтветитьLiars, this all started when you republicans propsed putting nuclear weapons on the boarder of Ukraine in effort to derail Obama's successor. Dont believe these political hacks.
ОтветитьHey guys, I think that your sound mixing needs a little work. I had the volume up because your voices are a bit quiet, but then the intro card music really jarred me with how loud it was.
ОтветитьHe will give Putin anything he wants and trump will want the Nobel peace prize
ОтветитьMove from russias border and problem solved. Simple really
ОтветитьPutin has been emboldened in view of of the Manchurian President-Elect and the impending end of US aid for Ukraine. I fear that Trump will adopt a hands-off policy which will effectively give Putin the green light. What can/will the EU do if Ukraine refuses to settle and Putin is left with only one very nasty option. Putin is desperate and most likely facing death from inside Russia if he doesn't re-establish control and regain the upper hand. He's a genuine super villain with thousands of nuclear warheads. Infiltrating the US government might be the ultimate victory for his anti democracy campaign. Look at Trump's non-vetted pro-Russian proposed cabinet appointments. He's on a mission to destroy.....
ОтветитьWhere do you find Midnight in Moscow
ОтветитьI found this hard to follow. Very tangential
ОтветитьBrilliant.
ОтветитьEye opening stuff. With Trump idolizing Putin, it doesn't bode well for Ukraine or the rest of Nato Europe. Dangerous times ahead.
ОтветитьHard to believe I watch this instead of Joe Rogan now. I've changed.
ОтветитьTrump will do anything Putin commands
Ответить‘I met the enemy and the enemy was us.’.
ОтветитьSince our military and government don't seem to be able to openly acknowledge this, I appreciate you stating the glaringly obvious: that when Putin said he was at war with us, we were at war!
ОтветитьThanks. Excellent discussion.
Wise words from Ambassador Sullivan. The Russians have been at war with the 'west,' and especially the US, for many years. Destabilization is always the goal, whether in Europe, or the North America, or Central Africa. Putin has 'swarmed' not only embassies and missions with operatives, but perpetrates mass cyber and hybrid activities on critical infrastructure.
But that's only going to last a few more months once Trump gets in office he will fold and give Russia what they want and we'll no longer be at war
ОтветитьWe in the West have been discussing support for Ukraine for almost 3 years. What is often forgotten in these discussions is the situation under international law. But this should be clear, especially to opponents of support: In an emergency session of the UN General Assembly on March 1, 2022, an internationally valid resolution was passed: Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine is illegal under international law. Russia must end this war immediately and withdraw its troops. 141 countries voted for this resolution, 35 abstained. There were only 5 votes against (Russia, Belarus, North Korea, Eritrea and Syria). With a 2/3 majority, this resolution is binding. After that, all countries no longer have to remain neutral but are actually obliged under international law to support the attacked state. This applies both legally and militarily. So what is the point of all these discussions? If we do not adhere to international law, we can forget about our future. This right is intended to prevent wars and ensure peaceful coexistence of all people on this planet. Greetings from Germany.
ОтветитьGreat discussion, thank you
ОтветитьThe Russians were occupied by the Golden Horde of the Mongol Empire for over 200 years. I think this occupations explains the attitude of Russian's in general.
ОтветитьLOL! We’ve been at war with Russia since the end of WW2!!!
The Republican Party allows Trumpthug to cozy up to the bloody Putin because the Republican Party is controlled by oligarchs who want to continue to do business with Russian Oligarchs.

John Sullivan should go on Joe Rogan as a representative of the deep state - "Up close and Personal with the Deep State - The Real People behind the Desk!!! "
ОтветитьI think Putin is going to launch an attack on NATO if Trump succeeds in destroying American security.
ОтветитьGreat interview!!!!
ОтветитьA true servant of the American people. Thank you for all of your sacrifices, sir.
Semper Fi
How are we at war with Russia but we are helping to prop up their war economy by purchasing things from them??😂😂😂 Its all a facade.
ОтветитьCompletely agree, it is a continual contest. A continual 'Great Game'
Ответитьwe are Americans and we dont do that? thats horse shit…
ОтветитьWelcome to the party, you're late.
ОтветитьDid the Cold War end? When was that?
ОтветитьI needed to hear this today. Thank you to the good and honest people of this country who serve selflessly.
ОтветитьRussia doesn't realize that the real impediment to their perceived 'greatness' is not competition from the West, but their own anachronistic, low-trust, pre-Enlightenment culture.
ОтветитьPutin has been at war with us for two decades😮
ОтветитьThis is what I said when Russia invaded Ukraine in Feb. 2022. We are at war with Russia and Americans are asleep at the wheel.
ОтветитьWat a passionate, patriotic American John J. Sullivan is. Wat an asset to government. Knowledgeable, filled w/ expertise across many departments & discoplines, & convicted. This is the kind of people we need in leasership.
ОтветитьWorld war three started with north korea's involvement in this war
ОтветитьI have always been much more of a dove than a hawk, but if you read up on WW2 and takes a good look at how Hitler treated good-faith negotiations, you realize that some "leaders" only respond to strength. Putin is such a person. There is no getting around it. There are two options. You either stand up to him or he walks all over you. To him, being reasonable is being weak. There is no lie he won't tell and no accord he won't break when he feels he can get away with it. You don't negotiate with a guy like Putin. You contain him. That is certainly not to say you should provoke him. Just be firm in stating reasonable expectations, set a reasonable cost for violation of those expectations, and stick to your word if those expectations are violated. You won't have a good relationship with him, but if you project strength and set firm boundaries, you will have the least terrible relationship with him.
Ответитьcorrection: it was Chernyshevsky who wrote What Is To Be Done.
ОтветитьSuch helpful expertise is shared here by J. Sullivan, thanks! Americans who are knowledgeable about russian foreign policy are rare.
ОтветитьHey, what‘s going on w/ this podcast? Please bring it back, it‘s super informative and interesting.
