Scorpion is better than Raiden at nearly everything Raiden is good at. The only thing I would give Raiden the edge on is his neutral game, and it's only because Raiden has more options from the neutral. Aside from that, his teleport is better, his 50/50 is better, his staggers are better, his rush down is better, his damage is better, he's faster, and he's more adaptable. So long as you have Scorpion's teleport cancel equipped, he's the only character in the game who decides the terms of the match, regardless of who he's fighting.

New to MK11, long time fighting game fan, never really go online.

I choose my characters based on how fun they are to play and love of the character.

Just curious, how much does character “tier” play into a competitive players choice?

For instance, cetrion is top, but I don’t like her as a character or her moveset.

Does that play into choice for the more competitive players?

D: Robocop, D'Vorah, Rambo, Mileena

I’m surprised Rewind didn’t mention that Fujin’s top-tier partially cos of his INSANE wavedashes. Mustard plays him and feels like it’s mandatory for using him 😵 Just when I get better at doing it, I have to fig out when to USE them so I don’t get punished (besides after a knockdown on meterless opponents or juggles, mixups, and SW special and sp cancels 😆

Yeeah.. as a Nightwolf main who plays him for fun, he has a few good tools with his command grab but that's it, that's it. In my mind there's no way he's in front of Sindel and Terminator. To name a few downside; his command grab always switch sides sadly, if only we could choose like with Liu Kang... :( He prbly has the wooooorst wake-ups in the game istg -_- Has fewer and horrible KBs too, far from being attainable like Liu or Sub-0 and others. His only "punish" KB is the most predictable overhead string ever. Also no low starters :/ Pokes are quite okayish, anti-air is meh. FB is nothing crazy, no overhead like Jade or fullscreen like Eron Black and others. He's very limited variation wise, I really wish he had more abilities in his basic toolset like the Grappling Stalker ability with the 2-2 strings into grab which also adds a KB. Because if you equip a launcher with the command which are his best variation, the 2-2-2 string becomes useless trust me. So yeah half of his abilities are trash, the only one worth nothing are the launchers, the mid projectile and the command grab. :)

Kollector, Terminator, Shang Tsung, Noob, Geras, Raiden, and Scorpion are the best in the game. Everyone else is mid tier, and the worst in the game is Skarlett,Sonya,Sheeva,Rambo,and Kitana.

Move lao noob and night wolf and jax up and ur good

I like how nether realm spent the 6 months after aftermath making the 3 worst characters in the game with no other content.

Intressted in game only for Terminator, Robocop, Rambo, Spawn and classic movie chars. Looks like they added them to the game only for cash... not actual value of gameplay.

Good overall TierList. The top 6 should be unanimously considered facts in the MK community. I agree Joker slightly tops Liu Kang. Good points made on Kabal and I'm glad you acknowledged that part of his strength is that players don't understand the matchup.

● Thanks for putting Jax in Great.(My main) You explained him well.
● Jade isnt top tier without Delilahs Dance.
● Kollector is f**king broken and is the most underrated in the game.
● NightWolf should be in great. Although I believe his coustom moves need buffs! Rising Tomahawk & Command Grab is practically his only/best build.(Even though I mainly play Ancestral Gift, grappler Var.)

Scar gonna be real pissed about Sonya being bottom 3. I don’t understand why people think a single nerf made her from top 3 to bottom 3. She still has the best base character stats, and she is the best character when variationless. And if a good flawless blocking player picks up Sonya, she’s op as hell. An 8 frame up-2 is absolutely ridiculous. Her Flawless block up-2 is the fastest wakeup in the game. Liu Kang has an 8 frame as well, but the range is shorter, and he doesn’t move forward from it at all so the active range is smaller.

She has overall the fastest buttons. Her standing jab is 7-frames making it top 5 fastest punches, her 1,1 and 3,3 string are the fastest follow up jabs in the game, at 6 and 5 frames respectively, making them unflawlessblockable, and amazing for staggering. She does 36% damage at any screen location for 0 meter cost, and 38.5% for 1 bar. Her forward-4 is a 10-frame mid that is safe on block and special-cancel able. And with the buff to her down-3 poke that jails an opponent into her high attacks, she is easily a top 10 character.

another thing no one talks about with kotal is that his fastest move you have to respect is literally 17 frames unless you want to do his sweep

As a Jax main, Jax is not great, he is decent. But i can take Sonya, Kitana and several others and easily beat Jax.

I think sindel is top tier, she has amazing damage and her low scream is everything

Only thing I disagree on is rain. Rain should be in the low end of the good tier or in the middle of good tier if you use his banned move in casual.

Personally I think Mileena falls into the Great category. Shes not top tier but she can get you far in the kombat league. the key to playing mileena is not relying on string combos for damage since her damage scaling is so awful. She really is the queen of poking and short combos and zoning. Just thought I'd put my two cents in. Got to demi god with her alone last season

I think Rambo is too low, then again, I have yet to test Rambo in an offline environment. His amp command grab does 15% instead of 12%. Whip Trap goes under projectiles and have multiple ranges. Shoulder Roll is basically an Injustice 2 roll. It goes really far and he gets a nasty KB if you're doing something. Claymore can be a nightmare for characters without a teleport. People are sleeping on the character.

Scar said if a player knows how to play the majority of the cast and picks up Shang as a main then Shang would be the best in the game. I couldn’t agree more. He has crazy zoning, plus frames, and on top of that he could turn the fight into a mirror match if he pleases
