My Gaming Monitor only has HDMI and an 3.5mm audio port. My sound bar has 3.5mm I run through there which is essentially analog. It still is plenty loud enough it will piss people off. This way my Series X is plugged into the monitor. 1440P at 120hz no lag. Everything is clean
ОтветитьThanks mate. i solved it by connecting the optical cable to the TV
ОтветитьBut wont that now hurt my tv graphics? I have a game monitor for the frame rate and hd
ОтветитьThanks for this, just recieved and set up, works perfectly with my xbox series s.
Ответитьclassical British , everything become so complicated .
Where are the indians ?
Does it allow 1440p and 120hz after connecting through the extractor?
ОтветитьOr, or, or, or............you connect the Optical out from your TV to the stereo or amp.
ОтветитьDoes this work with Astro headphones with mixamp?? Using xbox
Ответитьdoes this work for a monitor with 2 speakers?
Ответитьthat only converted hdmi to optical rather thtan direct digital optical
ОтветитьI’ll just keep my Xbox One X Scorpio with SSD and wait for them next version of the Series X. I’m still using a 1080p monitor and optical surround sound. I’d have to replace everything
ОтветитьWill you be able to turn the volume down on the sound bar using the Xbox
ОтветитьReads mic? I have a Chord mojo that work with optical pourt and it has 2 3,5mm out to connect a headset and in my case a mic too. Would be great if it reads both items (headset and a 3,5 mic) thanks
Ответитьcan Xbox SS connect USB DONGLE DAC?
ОтветитьIs this real or another scam like the rca to hdmi cable I saw advertised?
ОтветитьExcellent 👌🏾 Thank you. I’ve also upgraded to this Xbox however have opted for another brand which cost me £16 as the Amazon Basics one is now £42 and I wasn’t prepared to pay that.
ОтветитьQuestion, I am new with all of this but do I need to buy any additional cables or does it come with the adapter?
ОтветитьCan you still get 120hz thru this device?
Ответитьi have i question. this is IMPORTANT. doing it this way, will the optical output put out Dolby atmos from the xbox series x to an atoms soundbar?
ОтветитьYou just saved me like 40 min on trying to figure this out. Thank you bro
ОтветитьA much easier way to solve this for microphones is that if you TV has an optical audio, you can player plug it in there! It worked great for me.
Ответитьwhy not just connect the soundsystem via optical to your tv/monitor ?
ОтветитьWhat’s funny is they cheapened out on something that people still use if you are using a projector. But they kept the Ethernet port which 99% of non gamers would not use and just connect to WiFi
ОтветитьI watch a lot of blue ray 3-D movies
When I run my H DMI through my 5 point once around I can't watch the movie so I've been using optical in
Without the optical out I can't watch a 3-D movie that's the short of it so my question is have you tried watching a 3-D movie on your xbox with this optical out adapter?
Thanks
Could you use this on an e arc hdmi output to send audio to an optical connection on your sound system?
ОтветитьPlaying hell let loose with 800x is a nightmare can get game sound and talk but can't hear anyone else in chat also I lose the ability control my TV when using the splitter
ОтветитьJust out of curiosity, why would you want optical audio?
ОтветитьBut sadly we do sacrifice HDR for it, that's something I won't do. Damn.
ОтветитьI need 120 hz, not buying a Xbox series x to not get 4k 120 hz. Where is such a adapter?
ОтветитьI decided to to get a HDMI 2.1 120hz 4k 8k extractor cost me £120 but need something that is future proof because I have bought a good quality HDMI cable audio quest just need to purchase another one to make this work I love my Astros but the buzzing and ticking sound it makes is annoying USB sucks for audio it needs optical for better performance
ОтветитьDoes this run it at 4 k still
ОтветитьI’m confused, I have a Xbox series x, Astro a20 and a MSI monitor, I need my game volume to come from my headset but there’s no OPT in port on my Xbox x for my mic receiver to plug into, only the USB port to power it, so but there’s only 1 HDMI port on my Xbox series x so even with this reviewer I’ll either only be able to display the picture on my monitor or have game volume. I’m just going to buy a new damn headset at this rate
ОтветитьDoes noone else think this is a major design flaw? I have a Dolby surround sound system....monitor speakers don't do the trick.
ОтветитьI see this is only HDMI 2. Does this degrade the picture at all? The 120Hz options are all over 100 GBP so pointless.
ОтветитьWould this setup work with a receiver using the optical through the adapter straight to the Xbox
ОтветитьThankyou for this. I just cant believe they took it off? A real downgrade for me buying series X. I use xbox one x with optical out to my AV reciever.
Will the quality be the same as what Ive got?
Except I never connected my optical cord to my Xbox one it went into to the TV but I was still able to control my sound bar with the Xbox
ОтветитьMental that a "gaming speaker" and the newest gen consoles are having this issue 😡
ОтветитьThe Xbox doesn't even have bluetooth so that's another downside to connect it to my soundbar while connected to my projector.
ОтветитьIt's almost as if Sony and Microsoft intentionally did this to force gamers off PC gaming monitors to buy smart TVs. The reason I don't use a smart TV for my gaming monitor is 1. Privacy, yes these smart TVs have built in mics and cameras. 2. No real reason to have a smart TV with a gaming console since you can stream off your console. From what I'm seeing is you cannot find a good TV without smart features other than a few PC gaming monitors that cater to large scale screens for gamers. First off, I hate playing on a big screen period! Very uncomfortable viewing while gaming. I used a 28 inch gaming monitor with my Xbox one X and it was just the right size and I was able to use optical out from the Xbox one x to my soundbar. Good luck finding a PC monitor that supports optical or arc hdmi. So here I am with my 43 inch 4k Hisense TV sitting next to my bed where my 28 inch use to sit just so I can use my soundbar and it's pissing me royally off! I just didn't get the smaller screen for my viewing pleasure, I also bought it to reduce heat dispersion in my small room. I work outside in the heat daily and when I'm done I like to get cleaned up and lay back in my bed relaxing to either a few games or watching streaming programs. Other than getting a 32 inch TV there is any that offers good 4k digital Dolly or high refresh rate for gaming unless you spend over $1000.00.
ОтветитьI just want to use my 4k BenQ gaming monitor. I was able to do that with my Xbox one X optical with my Samsung soundbar but had to move my 50 inch TV over on my bed stand because no optical out on the Series X. Will this adapter allow me to use my soundbar with my gaming monitor again using the Series X ?
Ответитьdoes the optical plug allow you to have 7.1 sound with Astros headphones??
ОтветитьEpic fail by Microsoft but thank you sir for the info
ОтветитьThanks for the video. Very useful 😃
ОтветитьDoes this create input delay?
ОтветитьDo you know if by using this device and getting the optical cable from my receiver back into the xbox if it'll allow the xbox to control the volume and power on/off the stereo receiver?
ОтветитьIs the adaptor 2.1?
ОтветитьI found one for HDMI 2.1 that will give you 4K 120 Hz but it costs over US$599 hahaha
ОтветитьMy speakers have 7.1 and 5.1. my tv has optical port but my series x doesn't have hdmi out. My xbox was only playing the 2 speakers next to the tv instead of all four around the room. Will this show up as 4k 60hz or 4k 30hz and i'm still not 100% sure if this will work.
ОтветитьThank you!
