First of all, you can't add MP3s. Davinci is not as easy as Premier. Do better.

Great Video! Thanks so much. Question... When you save your project itself, so that you can edit it more later on, has DaVinci saved copies of all my source files? Or is it somehow still referencing my original source files? I.e. what happens if I delete or move them to a backup hard drive?

I made a video in my camera at 60 fps wit the idea of being to make some sections of it into slo mo.
When I import the file to the media pool and make a project which frame rate do I set it to 60 fps or 30?

Hello Kevin, I had a problem after downloading Da Vinci Resolve. I got info saying "Intel Hardware accelerated decode and encode have been disabled as the current Intel graphics driver is not compatible with Da Vinci Resolve. Please update your drivers to enable this feature". So what shall I do? I am trying Capcut app for windows as it looks much less complicated.

I am totally confused with Resolve's different views, my screen arrangement never looks like any of the tutorials, this one or others.

I've seen tons of videos for various non-linear editors. I used Premiere Pro for over 20 years and gave up on Adobe when they went to that subscriber model. So it was with some joy I found DaVinci and while playing around with it, realized that despite some similarities with PP, there are lots of differences. So more joy when I found this turorial. It is absolutely perfect in every way. The questions asked by the "beginner" and the answers by the expert are just right on. I've taken 50+ courses in my life (in classrooms mostly) and I always had questions when something was glossed over. But not here. As I'm thinking of a question, it gets asked, then answered. The show 'n Tell is stunningly clear: big mouse indicator, nice slow zoom in to a high res display of the daVinci screen. I've seen some where they show just the lores screen with small regular mouse arrow that is impossible to follow and labels impossible to read. You guys have set the bar for proper method of doing a tutorial. I say this as a former instructor in Industrial Instrumentation and Controls, and working and teaching in the industry for 30 years. Good work. I subscribed!

how can i add just 1 picture from a video that's showing for like 5second. Do i have to take a picture or can it be extracted from a video or something. like pause the video at certain time and still it for 5sec.
