Remotely vs guacamole? I tried to deploy guacamole in docker and didn't have much success. Couldn't RC into anything.

Hi Brian, thanks for the great video. Installing was easy, but somehow i have a problem with my connection to remote computers. It only takes 1 or 2 minutes, then i it says disconnected from client. What am i doing wrong? I´m running it on Ubuntu 20.04 which is a VM in XCP-ng. Hope you or anyone else can help.

How do I configure the unattended windows installer to remotely access Windows desktops without the user having to interact with me or the program?
I have this setup for teamviewer on family members computer so that I can assist them, without them having to lift a finger.

When I attempt to configure this using remotely, the portable version works, but the installer doesn't.
Any place you can point me? Or any advice you can give?

For those interested, I discovered that you need to have "Websockets" support passed through NginX in order for the Installable Background Windows agent to be able to broadcast its existence to the Remotely Server Dashboard. The Windows Installable Background agent queries for the Remotely Server URL during installation. Unfortunately, the Ubuntu Bash installer for the background agent for Ubuntu desktops installs, but never asks for a server name. Does anyone know how this can be set?

I have the server running great with SSL. I can download either the instant client or the script to both Windows and Ubuntu clients. I ran the Windows and the Ubuntu script for the resident agents and on Windows it asked me my server name, but never showed up in the connection screen. On Ubuntu, the resident agent script ran but never asked for a server name. So, neither Windows or Ubuntu is working with the resident agents.

The portable instant agent for Windows does download and install and I am able to connect with it. The portable instant agent for Ubuntu downloads and I can set the executable bit for the instant agent, but the Remotely_Desktop agent in Ubuntu still wants to know what application is associated with it. I double checked and the "Allow executing file as program" is set.

I was hoping to use this for unattended remote access, but the resident agents don't seem to work. Any ideas?

Very good software! Installed it and started to use but for some reason, after every minute the ID Change itself (no issue if it is by design) :) But I am getting kicked from the session once the session changes. Someone else experiencing such a thing?

Great System. But I have trouble with installation in a Container in Proxmox. I use one Container for my Reverse Proxy with Letsencrypt. And the Installation setup file install only with reverse proxy and letsencrapt at same machine. I am now thinking about it how I can change.

I installed it on my linux servers at work, and it worked like a charm!
I did run into problems with Ubuntu on laptops (18.04 and 20.04).
After I click ok to authorize remote connection, the screen remains blank.
Not sure if anyone else encountered similar issue.

Hi Brian. Thanks for the awesome video. I have implemented it for my work. I have a query. Can I connect the remote system as an admin so that I can access the remote without client interaction? Else I have to share the Admin password to the remote user before any config change and you know this is not a good practice.
