This fight highlights how smart Bruce Wayne truly is. Bruce planning every single point in the fight from beginning to end is nothing short of strategic genius. Take the two traps in the beginning for example. Bruce knew they wouldn’t hurt Superman. They were just there to give Clark a confidence boost and allow him to believe he had the upper hand. To believe he was dictating where the fight went. Then the fight concludes with them ending up where Bruce planted the spear just as he planned.

I miss the time when even a superhero movie contained deep stories, best soundtracks like DC did, unfortunately, most people were not capable of understanding a Nolan-snyder movie..... marvel had brainwashed them

Fortunately they fixed the Batman voice since the Nolan era

Zack's employment of 'shallow focus' (one of the most erratic techniques a director would like to employ during an event like that...) brings in more intensity, and this level of audacity to 'experiment', is not 'ordinary'... Though it's his method of storytelling that separated both the 'MANs' while getting featured on the same 'screen'!

Base him on the best ever written version: The Dark Knight Returns'.
No effects or costume design will ever improve on that aspect.

This whole fight could’ve been avoided.. Clark easily could have said from the moment this scene started, “Bruce, Lex is holding my mother Martha hostage. And I need your help.” This scene is spectacle but almost no substance. It’s iconic for sure because it’s the first time we’re seeing them fight on screen. But I believe it really could’ve been done better. No hate towards Zack, Ben, or Henry.
